Stylistic Devices and Contrast in Literature

From the short story, 'The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle,' contrast is shown in the story of the lives the main characters that are Toru and Kumiko's as they converse. The two are making a phone call conversation when Toru is not in his moods. The Canterbury Tales and Chaucer's Narrative Technique

The Canterbury Tales consists of stories which are written by Geoffrey Chaucer in his epics. The tales mainly talks about a group of people who travels to England and conditioned to tell one another stories which the author later compiles to form his great epics. In the entire prologue, Chaucer brings together all the diverse people from the different background using a technique of pilgrimage. The writer puts down the impression of the memory with regards to the pilgrims. Love and Imagination in Literary Works
