The company has its set mission, vision, and values which are applied when serving their customers to make them a different company from others in the market. The mission of the company is "to harness the power of capitalism to bring literacy and opportunity to the people around the world." With the purpose, the company aims to empower the world as they go on to offer quality services to their customers. They focus on bringing the empowerment through the path of impacting literacy to the society. BWB believes that, if one gets some knowledge, then it will give them the exposure to ways of becoming a better person. With education and skills, there are very many opportunities that one can land to, that is why the BWB does not just stop there, they endeavor to create opportunities for the people to exploit.

In the long run for the mission fulfillment, some values must come hand in hand. The values which the company emphasizes on in their services include; customer focus, the company targets to be the best in the market amidst the high competition, for that to happen, they must make it the best marketplace for the clients. It will be through using highly valued experience and incorporating their response. The second one will be doing the right thing; the company ensures they do the right thing, not just for a specific group of people but to everyone. The third value is fostering innovation, the company endeavors to bring some positive change in the industry. Fourth, the passion for literacy, it emphasizes that every person should have a chance to exploit their potential. Lastly, they incorporate the value of; people, planet, and profit; the company is more than a business, so despite their going for gain, they aim to improve the livelihood of people to stability.

The vision of the company is achieving a literacy impacted generation where everyone has the chance to exploit their capabilities. It is why the company has used all their energies to make sure that they attain their objective, this is from the use of donations and rendering out their assets. The company has also gone online to get the upper hand in their business. With the online enterprise, they can be able to get customers all over the world. Despite the company being in the United States, they have set their goals to explore an exploit the world with their vision (Narayana, 2010).

The company has been of much impact to its leaders in formulating their strategic intent. Unlike the traditional firms and businesses who solely focused on shareholders, the BWB knows and acknowledges the fact that they have a lot of responsibilities over all their shareholders who include their employees, the environment, and the partners too. It helps to make sure that the employees do their work under some improved morale and an umbrella of concerned management. They also have taken chances to appreciate their leaders at every stage of their growth. For example is the case of their new leader mike miller, after the departure of their president, the company did not go looking out for another administrator. Instead, they used their vice president because his intentions from the hard work as a vice president did not take a lot for capturing. It made him the best choice to go for in the situation. It is not just for his case, other employees like Justin Holland and Christopher Fuchs also came back and were given priority jobs in the company.

The company has been supportive of all their employees when they show the intents of good will, and when they show the capability of making more improvements. It would have been easier for the case of a president of the company to find a new one, but the company did not prioritize on the outsiders. Mr. Holland was also a significant part of the starting of the company; his contributions were substantial towards creating a strong foundation. He helped in the recycling of millions of books and which brought the most prominent profit for the organization helping them to grow broader. He was also an essential element in the library's discard and the programs incepted for donations. He was also an architecture of the most significant program by the company, in the name of the drop box. The company rewarded him by promotion in the year 2014 incorporating him to a higher hierarchy in the company.

Porter's five forces is a tool used in the analysis of business competition. The study has an established five forces which are used to evaluate the intensity. Thus the unattractiveness or its presence, of an organization regarding determining the level of profits accrued (Porter, 2008). Using the five porter's forces. The paper will analyze the business environment of the BWB in the brackets of Porter's five forces.

Industry rivalry, this is one of the five forces used an evaluation. In the market, BWB was in the market with already established companies. The companies being Amazon and eBay. It necessitated that the BWB input policies that would be better than ones implemented by other companies. Threats of new entrants, when an industry becomes enticing, many people want to get into the business and to counter the industry, new E-books and E-readers companies have emerged. Bargain power of the buyers, with the company knowing that they are more companies offering the online bookselling, they will try to control the market price by buying from the cheap venture.

The fourth force is the threat of substitute; this has been a blow to the BWB. Over the time, there has been the emergence of the likes of Kindle; this is an e-book and e-reader company. Meaning that the supply of used and printed books that the company used as donations was to be cut short. The fifth one is bargaining power of suppliers; it is the joy of every supplier when there are many ventures to supply. It means that he can be able to command a certain price and even the condition, this to BWB is a threat because it will mean minimization of the profit levels.

The online bookselling industry is an excellent venture to work in at the time. It is because, like any other industry in the business world, it has its risks, but if there is the utilization of the positives there will be profit maximization. Since the sales by the companies are done online, one will just need to establish a stable customer base. It would be the ultimate solution. The customer base will ensure that there is a steady supply of goods. The industry will also depend on the innovativeness. Thus, for an innovative person, they would enjoy the trade. Innovativeness will guarantee the management an upper hand in the profit levels.

BWB, as captured from their undertakings, are at the exposure of a lot of resources, this might be cut down by the e-readers and e-books, but the company's brand is established, so they are due to continue with an impressive run. The resources for the company are fetch-able from the customer base who buy books daily. With over twenty-five thousand customers in their website every day, the company has the capability of immersing a lot of wealth. The quality also has a lot of experts who are a significant resource to the company; they can be able to make ways of tapping more profits.

The BWB is already an established brand in the online selling book market. Having a positive image in its customer base has been an added advantage that the company accrues. There might be more significant or also more prominent brands, some even established before the Best world books, but image supersedes identity in the market. The most prominent step that the company made was creating a perfect image in the market before following the other endeavors. It has been created in a few ways. It is through donations of books and of the profits gotten from the business. It is the only company in its range which has taken a step to offer contributions. BWB has provided donations worldwide to empower the people worldwide. Their charitable characteristic earns them the favor in the eyes of the market. It is one of their strong points against their competitors.
