Introduction

This is a movie with its setting in the Kalahari Desert, South Africa where a coke bottle falls from the sky thrown by a pilot which lands on the San people, previously known as the Hottentot made of the Khoi and the San. Their language was characterized by lots of clicking making it too dissimilar from other words used by humankind. The desert environment was too harsh for any agricultural farming to be a success with no river or any water source next to the San people. Their village was also situated much in the desert hence a low population and development to a city. They conducted nomadism goat herding. The bushman was on a hunting mission to gather food for his family when the bottle fell. On picking, it is taken to the village where it's put under a lot of use; cooking stick, fire starter, musical instrument, and many others as they had never come across such an item before. Everyone wanted to have their share of the bottle hence a fight breaking out in the village.

The planet used to be a peaceful place where everyone lived with one another without crossing paths. Disputes were resolved whenever they came up hence fights were never experienced among people within or over the villages. To regain peace in the town, the Bushman opts to return the bottle to the gods. The decision is followed by a long walk to where settled more people at the end of the desert. The journey is thereby made up of various activities making it more of a comedy. The Bushman brings together some other characters in their plans to an unexpected combination.

Among the additional characters are a school teacher on her duty in a village, a revolutionist and a biologist. The Bushman is sensible and cheerful to new happening and items presented to him make him funnily interact with them. He approaches the western culture minus presumptions. They are caught up in various situations making each act ridiculous. The bushman tries to find logical solutions to all problems they go through while in the desert representing an everyday interaction with life. Nature is incorporated into a funny communication with humankind making the movie one you would admire watching.

Foreigners sought the San to know much about their language and found it fascinating. They satisfy the popular perception as reality. They also wanted the San people to show them through the desert as they had mastery of the desert landscape. The San even knew how to shield themselves from wild-game hence would be of great help when they came across any wild creature.

The San people believed in equality of all people from a political, economic and social perspective. Decisions were made from the inclusion of all persons in the village and society. Families shared their hunts strengthening their social organization. The dance was an art highly practiced by the San people after carrying out their daily activities as they took rest. Medicine was naturally sourced from tree leaves, backs, and roots. Fruits too were made for medication. The San biggest problem was interaction with visitors who came for exploration as they would not communicate effectively though they were hospitable to outsiders. One can teach another their culture without changing their own as done by ethnographic research.

Conclusion

The Kuru art project is a plan by D'kar and Ghazni displaying the Bushman art and helps to bring the role of ancient African art to the modern society.
