Review

The movie shows how The Black Panthers would organize themselves and their history; in which they have been against the forces of the police. Stanley Nelson does an amazing thing when he brings back the olden days up to date with videos which people have not seen and that quite defines black panthers' history in the deepest way possible. Hence that is why it is known as a documentary film. The way Vanguard has been illustrated it is straight to the point and hence it is easy to choose as the beginning of the movie, mostly this is effective when it comes down to the systems of education.

The relations in which America had were racial and it was dense in the south, Martin Luther King organized protests in which lead in a manner in which was stubborn, in the year 1966 is when the nation took a significant turn to the westward. This is when Huey Newton and his college Bobby Seale started the Black Panther Party: and was named after an animal which would retract when threatened but when it was involved it would do the attacking. This is due to how the African-American would be discriminated and treated with harassment by the police department. The way they were intimidated is the same way they chose to fight; that being, intimidation.

By striving all this a large number of the members survived and remember those days as the worst days they have ever been through. The Black Panther wanted to be treated according to its screening and this was supposed to be a private affair and not let open to the public. Once the group was said to be the biggest threat to the security of the nation because of how they had grown and made a great impact. This is said by the chief of FBI, J. Edgar Hoover.

When he saw this growth and rapid movement of the Black Panthers Party, chief Edgar Hoover he sent spies so as to get information about the group. Fred Hampton was mostly the one whom the chief hatred and saw him be "the black messiah" and was killed when he was unarmed and when he was resting on his bed. Newton was the imprison nearly to three years, charged with manslaughter.

The movie shows how the balk people were discriminated by the whites and specifically by the police. They would be caught with no reason at all treated harshly with brutality and unnecessary ways. We should live in a world that we do not choose by our color, ethnicity and many things, we should live with harmony for we are all human beings.
