Technology has been evolving in the contemporary world bringing any outcomes. Among the consequences that have been born by the emerging invention in the technology include the threat to the security. This action has been brought up by the high crime rate. The crime rates issues have some legal solution based on the support that the law gives. This reason is because every nation has the justice system that ensures that those who go centrally to the law have their equitable share of the consequences that they have to encounter. The justice system is so fair such that it is always taking care of those who commit such crimes. The legal channels are accurately followed to ensure that there is prevailing of justice to both the victims and the perpetrators of the criminal offenses. This action comes with some distinctions of the illegal activities ranging from the most serious ones to those that can be solved using the most accessible means possible. There is a degree in which these criminal offenses are classified, and this makes them occur in different magnitudes (Logan, 2015, 1055-1094).
The extent to which this happens translates into different courses of actions that are taken because all the offenses cannot be approached in the same manner. This action calls for a right approach of the justice system has already been put in place to ensure that all that happens in the legal field is solved following the best legal mechanisms that guide the judicial administration of justice. The classification of the offenses that are within the criminal justice system helps in the proper interpretation of the legal measures that need to be taken to ensure that there is fairness to all. It also helps to ensure that the there is some form of proportionality of the administration of the punishment of those who perform actions and activities that are not allowed by the law. This step minimizes complains that people may have (Logan, 2015, 1055-1094).
There has been a hot debate on whether incarceration has any role in the criminal justice system. So many controversial statements have questioned the applicability of the justice system of sentencing people in prison. To some extent, this method is suitable as it helps in hiding the criminals who are a significant threat to the society from having the opportunity to keep on doing the criminal activities. It also promotes security in the long run because they absence dramatically encourages peace in the community (Logan, 2015, 1055-1094).
The rise in the number of criminal activities has proportionally increased the number of imprisoned criminals. This action is because it has been legal consequences of the events that go against the law. The increase in the number of criminal activities has raised a question on whether imprisonment is the only way to rectify the mess in the justice system. This action is because, despite the many efforts to ensure that there are law and order in the society, there has been much breaking of the bill through the criminal occurrences that have been on the rise of late. The people who keep on breaking the law seem not to have learned from the consequences that the other people who have gone to the prison for sentencing. This step calls for better interpretation of the judicial systems to determine whether the sentencing of the criminals in prison can solve the criminal activities that they have been performing. This reason is that there seems to have some bit of lack of communication from both the legal side and the criminal side (Felson, 1997, 81-96).
The rise of the criminal activities has questioned the authenticity of keeping putting the criminals in prison for a sentence. This reason is that despite the action being repeatedly done by different judicial systems, it seems to bear fruits at a very slow. It is quite clear from most of the investigations that have been performed that the people who find themselves in the prison sentence have very insignificant chances of changing mostly when the prison sentence time is longer. These people go through some tough corrective time that makes them be used to prison life most of the time. This aspect of the prisoners adapting to the prison life makes it hard for them to become better citizens even after being released. This reason is that they are not in a position to be appreciated by the society the moment they live the prison life since they already have the perception that the community recognizes then as negative people.
Allan sphere in his book explored the history of a significant community of Negro during the thirty- year period of race issues that led to a rigid system of which was filled with a lot of open segregation and discrimination. There are many violence cases and crime rates ranging from the use of guns, murder, and homicide among others which are typically reported in the national channels for uncountable times and moments. This action has proven dangerous since it has left the citizens of America in a flag basted state. The gun crime has been rising at an alarming rate. Reports from the police department have always shown that approximately 75% of the homicides in the city of Chicago are caused by gun crimes (Sphere, 1974, p246).
It's true that unlike the conventional notions that the city of Chicago is synonymous with crime, it clear that the vices are generally concentrated in particular areas. The southern and western parts of Chicago are typically associated with the violence, and some neighborhood places are also associated with the said crimes. There has been a felt effect of the force, and the crime rate is ranging from poverty, lower social, economic status and limited access to education and good health. These factors have made the city of Chicago one of the most dangerous cities to live even though that it's somehow complicated.
To measure whether a city is safe or dangerous to live on literal terms, lack of police funding, gang-related violence and issues related to armed force has placed the city of Chicago in the list of less peaceful cities globally. Again, there is a controversial move by the police where they pervade lawlessness and through their weird practices and the way they praise the prison conditions. The police too have some bad habits of praising crime rates and forcing the citizens to confess criminal activities they have no certainty of committing (Sphere, 1974, 216-218).
Allan sphere well explored the history of significant Negro community in his writings of 1890-1920. This reason was about a time when in thirty years, a notable race relation led to massive and lethal levels of discriminations and rigid system of segregation. Allan succeeded in giving the results of the white racism objectively and also provided a reminder of the consequences of discrimination in a manner that was very effective. The level of discriminative mannerisms was very evident during that period, and the victims of the misfortunes were seen through the effects of the discrimination (Logan, 2015, 55-1094).
Conclusion
About the Chicago violence and the high level of crime rate in that city, it can be shown that there is a close relationship between it and what Allan sphere discusses. Both good and bad information is given about what happened in the city of Chicago concerning the black ghetto that developed between t 1890-1920, which makes a lot of historical basis up to the present time for many readers and scholars. There is a close relationship showing that separation increases the level of crime rates that in a significant way leads to much inequality basing our argument on the influence of segregation on crime. There is also an examined study on whether there is any relationship between race and the incidence of crime committed through analysis of the criminal activities done by the blacks and those others done by the whites. Also, the link between the black violence and the violence caused by the whites is examined in the two sides (Felson, 1997, 81-96).
