The legal channels are accurately followed to ensure that there is prevailing of justice to both the victims and the perpetrators of the criminal offenses. This action comes with some distinctions of the illegal activities ranging from the most serious ones to those that can be solved using the most accessible means possible. These factors have made the city of Chicago one of the most dangerous cities to live even though that it's somehow complicated.

To measure whether a city is safe or dangerous to live on literal terms, lack of police funding, gang-related violence and issues related to armed force has placed the city of Chicago in the list of less peaceful cities globally. Again, there is a controversial move by the police where they pervade lawlessness and through their weird practices and the way they praise the prison conditions. The police too have some bad habits of praising crime rates and forcing the citizens to confess criminal activities they have no certainty of committing (Sphere, 1974, 216-218).
