Recreational swimming is a form of workout that brings relaxation and a good feeling. There are several ways of swimming; the first method is breaststroke, sidestrokes, backstrokes, and even freestyle methods.
Competitive swimming is for people who have loved the hobby and want to take it to the next level. It takes the health benefits and fun to another level of vigor. Competitions are done both internationally and locally. The distance covered when individuals are swimming in competitions is normally up to 50 meters and maybe more distances in open water competitions
The reason why swimming is the best hobby and has been chosen by many people is because of the health benefits that accompany the activity. Going against the resistance has been confirmed to increase the rates of heartbeats. This makes swimming a good work out hobby that helps in the prevention of cardiac arrests and another heart-related disease, the high blood pressure keeps stress, because enough blood is pumped to the brain sinuses.Swimming builds the body muscles because it involves the use of limbs when going against the water currents. Muscular fitness keeps people in perfect body shape and safety from obesity and other lifestyle-related diseases. Toned muscles improve appearances and make an individual strong and able to easily perform daily tasks.
Compared with other passive hobbies such as watching movies, reading novels and even sleeping, swimming is the best stress reliever. The emotional benefits of swimming are gained through the balance of balance and posture which brings about improved coordination. The flexibility gained through the constant effort of swaying limbs is important in the daily living of a swimmer. The swimmers are given a healing therapy for any small injuries acquired. Swimming provides massage-like effects that calm down the skin and cools both external and internal injuries.

In conclusion, Swimming should be a hobby that every person cherishes. There is nothing cooler than having your bod immersed in cold water during a hot day. It is a hobby that can be done almost in every part of a city, because of the availability of swimming gear and facilities. It is incomparable with other passive hobbies that might have some risky health implications. Swimming is interactive and fun especially when a person gets to build a team of friends who can even commercialize their hobby and go into paying competitions. Despite the fears that many people have on the safety of swimming in open waters and the safety of swimming facilities, it remains the safest hobby. Every hobby such as hiking and skating has its challenges which should not stop a person from having fun.
