Introduction
According to (Siegler, et al 2017), those children who grow up in a family with solid religious and disciplinary background tend to develop positive behaviors, and this paper will delve on the positive aspect developed from childhood.
Reflect
According to (Biglan, 2015), my parents were strict with my studies, but they also supported and encouraged me to sojourn on with extracurricular activities. I remember I was in a basketball competition for my school where I was the best performer with a couple of friends and not only that we had set of rules that we needed to fulfill like ensuring we were disciplined at all times, honest and always performed best in my studies, all these were prerequisites to providing we got a scholarship to study in the university the curse of your choice. This made me refrain from bad friends who were always into taking drugs and alcohol since before every match a blood test would be conducted, and if found to have used drugs this would risk a ban from the school and the basketball team, and that is what I avoided.

The questions that kept lingering in mind was: Will I ever be able to get the scholarship to study at the university and play basketball my favorite sport? The other questions are how I will help the team to win the basketball league against all other schools to scope the $2000 award for the best performer?
Suggest
According to (Cantor et al. 2018), my aim of trying to get the scholarship to study in the university and at the same time play my favorite sport helped transform my earlier behavior which was not good at all. However, I will not focus on the negative behavior but will stick with the transformations that affected my behavior, and since I came from a humble background, I grasp this opportunity in full force.
Elevate
According to (Crone, Hawken, & Horner 2015) I get the scholarship to study my favorite course in the university I will find it easy to adopt more professional behavior required by a university student, and this will help me to be an ambassador of the school through playing basketball.
Some of the socio-cultural factors that influenced me to adopt positive behaviors.
I had the will power to ensure I worked hard for the team and maintained discipline as it was required so that I may get the ultimate price which was to be sponsored while I pursued my dream course which was Computer Science in the university.
Structural motivation this means I was after going for the reward and this made me work hard and maintain utmost discipline including respecting teachers, parents, doing homework to avoid being reported to the basketball disciplinary panel and this would hamper my chances of getting the scholarship.
Social Ability meaning with the team I found participants and celebrities like LeBron James who would mentor us mentor me and insist that discipline is the only key to ensure someone succeeds in any sporting activity.
