Intervention strategy practices that promote human rights

Relational therapy consists of adequate methods to ensure that all rights of the client are adhered to strictly. Relational treatment serves to convey respect, build trust with the client, promotes confidentiality and communicated caring towards the patient. By forming a stable relationship with the patient allows the client to be open up, assign higher ratings of satisfaction, and are less likely to pursue litigation for malpractice during the session (Turner, 2017). In this case, I applied strength-based strategies which allowed me to focus on the inherent strengths of the individual. The practices play a significant role in enabling one to refrain from allowing labeling stigmatized or labeling language. Which are not only offensive but also illegal malpractices in social work.

The assessment process

The assessment process was quite complicated. Despite the client being aware of the danger and effects of ethnicity he still seemed resistant to the idea of treatment (Lim, 2016). The client was also slightly older than I was and seemed to be into the traditional ways of life. Being young, the client seemed to pay little attention terming my assumptions as null and lacking experience. The strength-based strategies, however, played a significant role by enabling us to cease from labeling during the session and avoid stigmatization. Apart from strength-based tools, I should have also made use of reflection tools to give the client a chance to reflect on his life and how his current mode of character was affecting it. The tool provides both of us with a better understanding of the situation and assists us in identifying areas requiring improvement.

The treatment planning process

After identifying all issues affecting the client, I conducted an analysis and chose the best way to carry out the treatment. The client was naturally egoistic and discriminative he would not apologize to anyone and preferred methods which were mostly personal. Together we omitted all strategies of resolution involving outsiders and focused on the client primarily which in this case was a setback to what we would have achieved by conducting a well-developed plan with the rest of the community. For future reference, it's recommendable to advise the client on the importance of making the remedies communal and ensuring that even though the practices were collective, they did not affect the client's life or reputation.

Importance of relational therapy during the assessment

The primary objective of relational therapy theory within the evaluation is to help better individuals understand how their character and operation function concerning others. It allows clients to comprehend the degree to which their relating patterns can affect their emotional and mental wellbeing (Lim 2016). Relational therapy, in this case, played a significant role in establishing a well-founded relationship. The theory allowed me to form a collaborative, secure and robust connection.

Role of technology in relational therapy

Technological approaches enabled me to provide efficient service at a cost effective rate. Interest in the development of technologically administered assessments has grown over the last decade. Technology is categorized into engagement and e-learning. Engagement category contains tools to inform the client while the e-learning category allows the social worker to evaluate the client's situation.

Ways of advancing a client's human rights

During the assessments, the social worker should ensure that questions and steps taken during the session are in line with the rights and freedoms of the client (Turner, 2017). In this case, I ensured that all questions asked were in line with the law to ensure that no lines were crossed during the session.to do this, I utilized a strength-based practice to ensure that I was in line with the clients' rights.

Client disruptions

Most seniors tend to nullify information given to them by social workers who are usually young or of the female gender. My client was older than I was. As a result, he paid no attention to the advice I gave. Relational therapy appeared unhelpful in this case. As a result, I adapted to a question and answer therapeutic model with which we analyzed the behaviors and way of life. Allowing him to think he was in charge allowed him to open up indirectly and provide required to resolve the issue.

Conclusion

The relational theory provides an unexplored application towards supervision. Through supervision, I was able to give many functions to the client promoting supportive and administration tasks during the assessment. At the onset of evaluations supervising techniques encourage one to be empathetic, warm and helpful hence the utilization of such techniques makes one supportive, respectable genuine and knowledgeable.
