a). the most realist branch of contemporary ethical theories in advancing human rights
The branch of the contemporary ethical theories which appears the most realistic in advancing human rights is the normative ethical theory. The provision of the theory is based on examining the aspects of an action which makes it right or wrong, and what makes those involved vicious or virtuous (Adams, 2012). It guides individuals to consider ethics while studying the moral aspects of the properties of whatever action they undertake. This is therefore important in understanding and balancing between what is ethical and what one thinks define his or her right.
b). valuing narrative as an effective way that Christian social workers can advance human rights as clinical social workers
Valuing narrative is a way through a clinical social worker can appreciate the old individuals in the society. This is important since the elderly are the ones who are mostly identified by narratives. The given health practitioners will have therefore succeeded in their practices based on the residential care settings for the older people. Wolfer and Brandsen (2015) argued that the elderly will, therefore, feel that their role in the society is recognized and therefore enjoy the human rights as the others in the society. This ensures that those who are no longer able to live in their own homes are well served under the clinical social work.
c). the concept of social justice
Social justice, on Christian social worker perspective, appears not t exist in a practical setting. This is because trying to focus on meeting the demands of social, one actually looses focus on the ethical and morals constraints which should guide one's activities. On this note, the concept of social justice is rather an abstract which has never been practically applied adequately (Adams, 2012). Making this a practical concept requires that a clinical social worker understand and be willing to apply the different perspectives of human rights and incorporate in aspects of social justice.
The future of social justice does not promise any aspect of success for the clinical social workers. This is because, as much as human beings are entitled to their rights, ethical dilemmas tend to control the extent to which these rights are practiced. It, therefore, follows that the concept of social justice will possibly remain as an abstract aspect of reasoning, and may be seen as a practical application in the society (Wolfer & Brandsen, 2015).
d). envisioning social justice
To ensure that I promote human rights and social justice, I will first be able to recognize the perspectives of my clients even if they are against my values. I will, therefore, refer them to the perspectives as required by the Christian moral values. According to Wolfer and Brandsen (2015), these two distinct behaviors will enable me to handle a client properly concerning the need to take care of both ethics and rights. I will work towards achieving this by making them feel that their ways of life are not rejected.
e). The relationship between the person-in-environment perspective and social justice and the relational approach
The person-in-environment tends to improve the lives of the client and the society by considering how they relate. This is closely related to social justice and the relational approach which focuses on fairness and the feelings towards oneself (Adams, 2012). The latter approach is better since it can be used to engage clients to think over their thoughts.
