Almost every private and government hospital has a transport system which (ambulance) which means that battered women can be taken to the shelter to recuperate after treatment from the hospital (Green, Hogg & Tanis, 1978). The study will be generalized but only to shelters with similar conditions as the one in which the study was conducted. The most important ethical issue in this study is the protection of privacy of the respondents since the abused women are vulnerable and are likely to be targeted by the abusive partners if their identity is exposed.
