The film addresses the comfort of the women more or so those that were among the 200,000 girls and the young women. The women were kidnapped and forced to the sexual slavery of the military by the imperial army of the Japanese during the Second World War. This act has a more significant impact on the women during that time (Kaplun 2016). This discrimination was a higher kind and practice of dehumanization that occurred to the women. The women who were kidnapped and detained in the comfort stations were discriminated and this made the women live in shame for decades.

The women then resorted to making an apology to the Japanese government since they realized that the time was running out and they would stay for too long in the detention. This portrays the submissive nature of the women who socially accepted the defeat and looked for their rescue even after being misused and gave a firsthand account of truth and ensured that the history was not forgotten. This was the step of the unified minds of the women, and later they gathered the courage to share their grievances with their loved ones. The Japanese empire, on the other hand, had a reason to celebrate for they appeared winning in their schemes. The realm played hard even after the women deciding and coming out ready to give the account of the truth. They continued showing how effective they were to rule over the others. This cause the plan for the reconciliation, justice and healing to the women (Tanaka 2017).

Sexuality and the militarism are very evident from the film and is addressed in a mega way. The sexual discrimination is very apparent as the women are kidnapped and dehumanized by being engaged in military sex. It is not because the women love or want sex, but it is because they do not have an otherwise to rescue themselves (Tanaka 2017). This is a discriminative act against the women. The detention and the abuse and misuse of the women were used by the Japanese military to gain militarism. They use this to show the other states how powerful they were. They also schemed to attract other nations to come into contact with them to rule over them.

The militarism as put forward in this film indicates how the women sexual abuse dragged the international communities into conflict (Kaplun 2016). The other states and nations so that it was not right to have the Japanese military continue to humiliate the comfort women. This lead to the retaliation spirit triggered in the people and was ready to help in rescuing the women. This led the whole world into conflict with one another as a result of each one of them seeking the superiority over the others. Some nations became differentiated as a result of this militarism, and that was the cause of their failure. The act of militancy led to the suffering of some established states (Tanaka 2017). The act of activism is not in any way encouraging the socialization as it ought to be. Instead, it leads to the continued separation of the populations of the world. This is a disgusting social treatment and has adverse impacts and influences on the lives of the people.

Dehumanization is another aspect that is expressed in the film. There are several acts of killing, for instance, the murder of the soldiers who were in the battlefields with no mercy shown on one another is a non-considerate of humanity. The rivals killed the soldiers who went to fight and prepared to die or to be killed experienced immovable retreats to compensate for their members (Seraphim 2006). The properties that were meant to be protected by the military were also destroyed as a result of the ar. This dehumanized the responsibility of the individuals who later lived in fear of not having enough protection. As indicated in the film, the kidnapping scene shows how inhuman the military became.

The film also shows the Marshall plan that came as the war was coming to an end. This plan otherwise showed the interest on the people by setting up the program to support the nations that were involved in the world war and were adversely affected. This plan plays a role of unification of the countries after the disintegration. The rejuvenation of the relationship of some of these nations continued to the present (Kaplun 2016). This has come along to restore the first unity that once existed. The film has in explained the social effects of the Second World War.
