Introduction
Leadership is a technical aspect in any organization or firm since most of the managerial positions are usually occupied by people who have experience in leading people ("Tesco Edition 16 Full | Tesco | Leadership", 2019). Most of the leaders possess good attributes that motivate people to work with them, such as kindness, honesty, and generosity. A good leader should be obedient and hardworking because he is their role model in the workplace.
Differences between I 'Consult' Approach and I 'Share' Approach
A person has to possess some specific characteristics before exercising his power over the people. I 'consult' leadership approach is a type of leadership technique which the leaders seek the contributions of other members of the organization before making the final decision ("Tesco Edition 16 Full | Tesco | Leadership", 2019). The leadership approach enables the management team to make the right decision before implementing some practices in the company
I 'share' leadership approach; the managers allow other people to take leadership positions in the organization. This practice reduces the instances of dictatorship and bad leadership techniques. This leadership technique also enables the leaders to establish departments in the organization; these departments are led by a person who qualifies to be an excellent leader, hence promoting the leadership attribute among people ("Tesco Edition 16 Full | Tesco | Leadership", 2019).
Laissez Fair Practice for American Companies
It is also known as a delegated technique of administering leadership since it allows the group members to make decisions and also contribute to the management process. Laissez fair is a good practice for American companies because it enables a company to make the right decisions that foster prosperity. Moreover, the involvement of the employees in decision making is a way of motivation. Thus they become hardworking and loyal to the firm ("Tesco Edition 16 Full | Tesco | Leadership", 2019). Leaders can assign specific tasks to employees without establishing any contact with them; this enables the employees to be self-driven. The staff has the freedom to perform the job without any pressure from the management team. Also, they can ask for assistance in case they face a significant challenge. When issues develop in this form of leadership, they can be solved easily since all the people will participate by contributing their ideas.
Why Some Managers May Be Happy To Adopt Laissez -Fair Style of Management
A leader who uses this form of leadership may understand the problems and challenges that his team is facing. Also, he will also know the strengths of the team members. Some managers may adopt Laissez-fair because they want to improve the productivity of the organization and empower the workers. High productivity leads to more sales hence more profits. It can also help the employees to be more innovative and improve their working morale.
The managers may be happy to choose this form of leadership so that they can improve the level of independence in the workplace. For example, when a staff member has got some task to perform, he or she does not have close supervision, thus limiting the unnecessary pressure from the management that may raise tension. Laissez-fair works appropriately in an organization where the employees are self-motivated, hardworking, loyal, and self-driven. The administration has to identify if the employees have the qualities mentioned above before they exercise this type of management because some people may tamper with the success of a firm. Over a given period, the employers end up developing trust in their employees ("Tesco Edition 16 Full | Tesco | Leadership", 2019).
Some leaders may be excited to select this type of management technique because it allows the staff members to take part in decision making at the workplace. When people come together and brainstorm, they provide useful ideas that help in mitigating the problem. Moreover, a joint discussion offers a platform for the staff members to establish a strong bond hence improving relations at work and promoting peace. The decision-making process is the primary source of success or failure; when an organization makes wrong decisions due to the people in the internal environment, the whole firm will tend to fall ("Tesco Edition 16 Full | Tesco | Leadership", 2019). Also, some leaders will choose Laissez-fair because they may want to cut down on the costs of supervision. In this form of management, the employee's work is not closely monitored because they have self-control and hardworking, thus advantageous to the managers.
Conclusion
Leadership is an essential aspect of the life of human beings. Leaders are evident in schools, places of worship, companies, nations, and oneself. A person has to be a leader with principles as he matures so that he can make wise decisions.
