Ethical Leadership

BP Corporation learned their mistakes and mishaps in the leadership and the decision making the process that resulted in the Deepwater oil rig accident of 2011. The company had leaders who were hired a few days into the project hence they lacked enough information and longevity of the project. These leaders had critical roles to play in the running of the project, but they had a few days to a few months of experience in working on the Deepsea horizon rig. These leaders lacked the cultural and organizational ethics of the BP organization. The technical engineer in charge of the centralizers used only six centralizers instead of the recommended 21 centralizers hence implying that he underused the resources allocated to them. The drilling of the Macondo well had some hiccups including lack of proper utilization of cement and failure to temporarily stop the project even though the technicians understood that the process failed to adhere to the technical procedure. The leadership of BP lacked ethical consideration and kept ignoring critical clues that resulted in the accident. The leadership of BP required each party to observe ethical consideration and observe ethical terms of work to ensure that the same does not happen shortly. About the general healthcare of human and ecosystem, the corporation needs to adhere to its policies of no harm to human and the ecosystem and ensure that the leaders support and implement the policy to the latter (Jacobs, 2016).

Organizational Values

The last three decades witnessed BP company cutting downs its managers and implementing in place the leadership that will ease the flow of information and elimination of all the possible slowing of information resulting from the cumbersome decision making processes. The departments were also subdivided from the vertical structure to the horizontal structure that allows decision making processes to take place at the bottom levels and only the reports or the major decision making process to affect the top level. This provision made it possible for the Deep sea oil rig disaster to take place since the junior managers and the technicians at the ground were the ones making all the decision. Lack of adherence to the values of the corporation led to the occurrence of the disasters, and hence the organization resolved to adhere to the organizational virtues. The company learned critical lessons in the disaster and ensure that the values of the organizations are adhered to including critical planning, effective decision making processes, effective implementation of the decisions and strict observance of the rules and restriction of the company. The values of the organization ensure that the healthcare of the ecosystem and human are taken care of by ensuring that human life and the environments are protected by minimizing accidents (Eargle, & Esmail, 2012).

Collaboration

BP Corporation engages in some collaboration with some companies in drilling the well and in ensuring that the drilling and offshore mining was an uttermost success. However, the collaboration was one of the reasons for the disaster considering that these organizations undertook tasks that contrasted the wishes of the BP and the international standards for drilling. Even after the disaster, some companies collaborated with BP in cleaning the damage caused in the Gulf of Mexico, The cleanup process called for assistance in clearing the damages caused by the accidents. Several oil related and non-oil related companies were collectively involved in cleaning up the sea due to the reason that the sea is an important public utility. The BP corporation ensured that the collaboration sit enters herself into will eventually benefit the country or benefit a person who handles a section of the community. Healthwise, the business partners, worked hard to ensure that the collaborators will stick to the business partnership in all the times of the collaborations. The important thing about this corporation is that the company will play victim even town and will mark the beginning of the complaining in the few days that they're experiencing severe heart attacks and stomachaches. This implies that they had attacked the individuals intentionally will better speak the truth instead of lying and leaving the trust for the investigations to find out the reality (Lustgarten, 2012).

Social Responsibility

BP Corporation exited a second to none reseal responsibility. The company went away of itself to ensure that the company retains the lost team scandal. As the largest shareholder, that the company will ensure that all the victim of the accident that will be made in the following provision of the year such as reduced medical expenses, free checkup, and provision of employment after the treatment process and also a continuation of education after the treatment period. The company also made it public that they are facing a major disaster; therefore they were seeking help from other companies in helping the citizens of the region in cleaning the oil mess. The company has since manned the issue and will ensure that such an occurrence has desisted reed from happening. This issue is also related to the general healthcare of the human and the ecosystem. The process ensured that the ecosystem is returned to normal and the doctors also on the other hand are working to ensure that all of them are taking care of the victims and the population around the region. Medical researchers are also done to ensure that thirsts are reduced as low as possible (Freudenburg, & Gramling, 2012).

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Deepsea rig accident was an awakening call for BP, but its reaction was timely and effective. The animals and the individuals working for the company are the people who wish well for the general wellbeing go the nation. The effective reneges are the recommendations done by the company ensure that all the activities undertaken were for the good of the nations and to ensure that such as mistake has not happen in the near future.
