Introduction
Photography is an excellent communication tool in technology (Van Ouytsel, 2017). Good practical examples that make that employ the use of photographs to make sure that the truth prevails is the journalism sector, to be specific NBC news crew. Journalists use photos as evidence and provision of visual view of the story while anchoring the news (Zelizer 2017). A formal plan is done starting from the time when the report is collected, reviewed, edited, and presented. Some photos are edited to hide the identity of the victim if there is a need. For example, when the journalists are giving a story about a particular incident, the audience, who is the public, cannot tell whether the story is true or has been fabricated. Therefore, there is a need for photos to make the story credible, reliable, and accurate. In the formal plan of the project, the user must budget for the gadgets, that is, cameras and other related costs are involved in collecting information.
How It Fits Into the World
In truth, photo editing and digital imaging have turned every person’s mind by making them acknowledge the manipulative nature of photos. Other scholars show that the photographs never revealed the relevance of the information provided, as a result of digitization, the rhetoric of truth which has an essential part of the cultural access by the photographs—however, the visual images in the World in different dimensions. For example, businesswise, the customers can use the pictures of the product to make their orders wisely. The historians also use the photographs in the identification of archaeological sites.
Background Research
My research focused on the perceptions made on the photographs by the journalists. Using the NBC news crew, we managed to establish the rationale of the pictures in the field of information and technology. The NBC news crew illustrated the risks of a particular brand of the automobile to a news anchor creating the originality for a better storyline with visual images. Most people from around the World mistrusted the photographs that were used in the story making due to digital manipulation. There was mistrust in photos presented with an argument that the photographers can edit a picture to be in a way that they wish to be presented to the public.
For example, when the murder case of O.J. Simpson was the biggest news story of the day, his picture was edited, and it was noticed that the image presented was dark as compares to his original picture. It was unethical to edit this photo in a way that why researches need to be done on the ethical and perception of images. Through such studies, a good relationship will be created between the public, the audience, customers, and the journalist. News photograph is sometimes a way of narrating incidents that entails the ideas of a real-life situation, the reality and community value systems, and perceptions other than showing the compelling visuals (Lee 2017).
Conclusion
The critics about photography lead to my frustrations while conducting the research. An evaluation was done using different scholars, researchers, and students in the determination of the validity and reality of the photographs. Photographs are criticized by the school of thoughts, arguing that digital imaging has led to unethical manipulation of photos. However, most of the critics were found to be idealess, incomplete, incoherent, and invalid according to my ideas and understanding. In general, photographs captured by professional photographers are more relevant in gathering evidence for lawyers, advertising products, and presenting news as well.
