The 8 of (1963) is one of the best movie produced as far as filmmaking is concerned because the storyline is told from the director's point view. Marcello Mastroianni (Guido) intends to represent Fellini where the film begins with a nightmare of asphyxiation with an image showing Guido floating off the sky. He is pulled back on earth by his associates using a rope. Three-quarters of the film takes place at a spa next Rome at a large set constructed by Guido for the sake of his next film.

The film is surrounded by events that tend to weave in and out of the fantasy and reality in that it is difficult to tell the real part of the film and what was taking place in Guido's head only. The movie continues as a series of encounters between Guido and his conscience where he recalls his childhood, youthful life his parents and the lady who resided down by the beach. Sandra Milo (his mistress) followed Guido to the spa after Anouk Aimee (his intellectual wife), and she seems enraged at him. While in the dreamland, Guido sees himself occupying a house with all the ladies in his life. All the women love him; they love one another and forgive Guido. However, there is a revolution. Guido cracks a whip and attempts to tame them something that fails.

The film is portraiture of a man who is trying to desperately weld the carnal and spiritual ends of his nature. A muse (Claudia Cardinale) appears to him severally and offers him an arousing desire and possibility that everything will be forgiven and promising that all will be fine as the producer grows more desperate. As if his tradition in all his movies, the content involves Guido's trademark that includes constructions standing between the sky and the earth as well as parades. The film provides viewers with a socket set, a tower to nowhere and terminates at the dust with a frustrated parade, the clowns leading people in the producer's life circulates round and round.

Conclusion

In conclusion, new technology has improved the world of fantasy significantly with innovations that make movies and films to look exactly like the real nature of the world. Technical developments in picture motions will soon imitate the character to extreme ends. Color films are another advancement that has improved perfection through masterpiece painting. Masterpiece painting proves that color has high possibilities compared to the original black and white style. The 8 1/2 (1963) is an example of movies that have revived currently with new 35-mm print in black and white. The film is also out on video; however, it big and rich hence needs to be viewed on big screens.
