Objective Description

Springsteen on Broadway starts with a much-quiet introduction. Both a youthful and an elderly audience attended. The concert began with a slow tempo with a playing piano. The percussion joined in as the pace escalated. The show incorporated different set lists. The first setlist tackled growing up shadowed by the use of a guitar. The second performance covered my hometown and was also accompanied by a piano. The piano soloed softly and played different notes. The artists created variation by playing few notes followed by a rest. They repeated the technique to capture the audience's attention and create a rhythm characterized by an alternating increasing and reducing intensity. Further, the artists utilized dissonant sounds that culminated in different melodies. Towards the end of the first movement, a clarinet solo commenced. It first seemed to be ending but did not have a definite endpoint. It then concluded a few bars later, marking the end of the first movement.

The second movement of the concert began with a playing guitar. It entailed the performance of pieces such as the wish, the Promised Land and long walk home. The pieces featured excellent guitar renditions to create emotional moves, which produced a lively performance that fascinatingly saw the guitar strings answered to one's emotions with a soothing tune. The movement increased the intensity by repeatedly playing the melody throughout the movement. The song was high, soft, and extended over a wide range. Every time the performance repeated the melody, it was the same at the same level of high intensity. The movement ended when the music's intensity increased.

The final movements commenced with high intensity and a livelier tempo. The movement was mainly solo utilizing brilliant disguises and tougher than the rest of Patti Scialfa. The movement's tempo and intensity increased throughout the performance. However, the other characteristics of the production remained the same. The solo decreased the intensity at some levels and later improved. It then turned solemn without warning. It again lightened up. The mood was eerie towards the end of the concert ending the movement with high intensity.

Subjective Reaction

The concert was very fascinating. I enjoyed listening and watching the performance. It depicted the active and energetic features of Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa. The artists performed different solos that also attested to these artists' difference in musical attributes. I liked the first and the second movements since they were flexible and the artists played tunes repeatedly, elevating the entire concert's intensity making it more fascinating. It also made the performance lively and entertaining. I did not like the final movement since it was rather harsh. The movements were surprising. At some points, it stopped and started again with very loud sounds. After such high moments, it stopped again and began playing at a very soft tune. It was very interesting since one did not know exactly what to expect all through the performance next. The mood throughout the performance.

General Reflection of the Concert

I enjoyed every bit of the performance. I understood every action. The works chosen for the concert integrated well and contrasted rather enticingly. The stop after the first movement lightened the performance's mood. It made the audience listen more and even be more attentive. After the stop, one could easily understand every element of the performance. It was a great deal than all the previous performances. It was a professional concert with a unique playing quality.
