These are conjoined because views often lead to behavior development.
Institutional discrimination refers to the unjust and discriminatory mistreatment to an individual or a group of people by the society. Individual discrimination applies to individuals making a choice to discriminate. Institutional discrimination is difficult to detect because the members may not outwardly show the mistreatment.
Bowler and Segura want to temper the worry that white persons will not be the majority by emphasizing on the deeply rooted values in America regarding individualism and self-reliance. They want to construct the Democratic partisanship so that it includes cognitive and issue basis. They also want to map the ideological markers to policy preferences.
Race matters to the political attitudes and agency of African-Americans which is also the case of other ethnic groups. Individuals and groups of individuals have been divided based on the aspects of the race. It matters because such divisions in the line of political attitudes lead to injustices and mistreatment.
The difference between assimilation and conquest modes of understanding ethnic relations in the US is that assimilation refers to the way of understanding the social dynamics of the US. The conquest modes relate to the incorporation of individuals into the social and cultural structures of the US.
The two main features of assimilation include adopting language and culture of a group and also the aspect of accommodation into the policies that become part of an individual. The factors that influence these features are such as the cultural background of the society and the policy of a particular state.
The claim is that the future demographics of US politics suggests the application of the majority and minority groups that are seen to be in favor of the White Democrats by the emphasis of American values. The factors that are true include that the more globalization has led to more African Americans in the state.
The Democrats are beholden to minority voters because of siding with them hence the Democrats continue to lose the millennial vote and need to change message. The Republican voters side with the white as well the parties need to focus on their say to amplify the demographic backing.

Linked fate refers to the recognition that the life chances of an individual are tied to their race as a whole. The politics of the minority take into account the race of an individual hence linked fate can help us understand that. The challenges with the notion being that it will lead to discrimination if applied to non-African Americans.
