Mind mapping is a critical element that enhances Piano performance among the duo. It is a visual representation of the idea and concept the artist has composed through brainstorming. It used to represent various elements of the piece by use pictures, branches, colors, words, and symbols to enables the duos to comprehend each concept presented by one of the piano artists. It is important to note that there is no concrete way to apply or use mind maps, but it all depends on individual personality and learning styles. The Pianist needs to be familiar with types of mind maps such as Coggle, Mindomo, Microsoft Visio, Miro, among others, to enable the visualize conceptualized idea and concept and incorporate it into piano art(James,2018). Proper mind mapping reduces stage fright, anxiety, and feeling of being overwhelmed.
How Does Pianist Interact With People (Soloist and Audience)?
Music is an essential and powerful form of communication mode. In this case, the Pianist needs to interact with a mixture of people such as audience and soloist to convey the music's message effectively based on the storyline by use of body movement and dynamic gesture expression to generate sound that accompanies and coordinate them. The Pianist expressive and playing skills increase interaction with the audience, soloist, and other Pianist playing along with(James,2018). By making effective use, psychomotor skills influence the performance and judgment of musicianship and abilities possessed by the Pianist that is manifested through visual aspects contributing to duos' mental participation, interaction, and perception of the concept during the performance.
If the Pianist wants to interact effectively with people, it is essential to master some of the critical playing techniques that significantly contribute to body movement and visual expressions. For instance, the seated position and upper-body segments significantly affect motor skills expression that is essential for proficient delivery during piano playing since the musculoskeletal system governs the direction of movement and its trajectory. The move generated in most cases is moderated by gravity. Therefore, Pianist interacts with people by use body movement that comprises arm weight, seated position, and rhythmical flow of sound.
How Do Pianists Prepare and Share Their Thinking?
Preparation and sharing of the concept are crucial for the Pianist presentation of the musical art composed. The performer and composer have to share several ideas regarding music dynamics, tempo, tone, and rhythm. The most important aspect the Pianist need to prepare is the accuracy tempo and rhythm since it is the central aspect that enables the duo to share a common idea.
