Introduction
Michael Jackson is one of late America's kings of pop of their time. His talents consequently, made him be such adorable personality by the music lovers, and his emotions were widely expressed through music and lifestyle. Even though he always appeared shy, his love for music overshadowed all that. Jackson is described as such a sensitive person who made life look like a burden to him. He always ensured his family was placed above his music activities as observed in his mostly retraced family approval as he contemplated getting into a challenging world of music. As much as he appeared shy and pained in the heart, this helped to lit fire, and he conquered the music world like the king of the jungle. He always felt free singing his music.
The personality analysis of Michael Jackson is explained herein using Henry Murray's personality psychology which tries to explain how human needs might influence the personality of a person Murray (1938). It was organized according to reasons, presses, and wants of the people. He explained need as readiness to reply in a given manner at individual circumstances. Personality theories are based on the needs and motives that suggest that our personalities reflect our various behaviors which are measured by needs. These needs naturally function unconsciously on human beings and perform a significant function in defining our personality.
Murray placed the needs into two classes which include primary and secondary requirements. But these lists of needs are unique to every person in that different people exhibit different personalities and behaviors. Firstly, in Murray's psychogenic list of demands, he explains the ambition needs. In relating this need to Michael Jackson's nature, it is true that this need recognizes they want to achieve and be recognized. Michael in his music endeavors sought to attain grand ambitions and was known worldwide. Moreover, Murray talks about material needs which if related to the life of Michael Jackson fits perfectly. These involve the acquisition of items which can include purchasing material items that we desire in our lives. Talking about these types of requirements without mentioning Michael Jackson's life would be meaningless. He always loved materials things, and that made him who he was. Howard Reich (2010). Nonetheless, Murray confirms to us his psychogenic list of needs in his theory when we watch Michael Jackson struggling to contain and maintain the need for power in trying to remain the king of pop music in the world. This is what Michael did by control his massive followers in the whole world.
In addition, in analyzing Michael Jackson's personality in relation to Murray's theory, we observe needs of affection which are centered in a person's desire to love and receive the same in return. Jackson loved his family very much such that he had to get approval to produce his music. Kimmon Ianneta (2009). The affection needs are displayed in Michael's love for fun and music which Murray explains that it is an earnest affection desire. He used his musical genius to gather information and composed music and consequently shared it with his fans across the world.

In conclusion, Murray's theory gives us the detailed list of needs which correctly helps us to analyze the life and personality of Michael Jackson.
