Introduction

Facebook is beneficial at more times compared to stating that it is also detrimental to mental health. A large number of people spend time on social media platforms, especially Facebook, which has the highest number of users and it contains redeeming qualities when it is used in moderation. I have been a subscriber at the site, and I have had my fair share of its benefits, such as creating a brand for individuals and entertainment. One needs to learn a secret about social media platforms, which is that, if you do not have any business to perform through the particular site, then only log in for entertainment when it is time for it.

Specific Features

Users can connect easily with others from different countries because the site contains a specific feature that is used for translation. One enormous benefit of Facebook is that it supports networking. People use Facebook to connect with their families, friends, colleagues at work, and meet new people. It is easier to find like-minded people by reviewing their interests, and there is a more accessible connection through video chats and private messages. As a user, I know that people prefer social platforms that allow them to build meaningful relationships in private. This way, in case of an inquiry, no matter how stupid it may be, the individual will not feel ashamed about it.

As an adult, Facebook is mostly beneficial because it can help one land a job. Companies have decided to go the e-commerce way and make their advertisements through posts on social media platforms. One can find job advertisements through the site and beat the case of joblessness. On the other hand, building a strong professional profile on the app for the individual is vital because companies also look at the profiles to determine the kind of employee they may be hiring. They evaluate the posts because they seem to be accurate predictors of one’s personality and IQ tests.

Facebook increases the productivity of a person, especially after a long day of work or more pressure from tasks. It provides entertainment that one can look forward to because, after three hours of constant working, the employee will need at least 20 minutes to use the internet and reenergize. Having quick surfs on the internet is healthy because it enables the user’s mind to rest and take off their concentration from other things. This way, they can get back on track real quick if they take unobtrusive breaks and thus lead to an increase in general productivity.

Conclusion

Facebook is mostly beneficial when one ignores the public gossip and the fact that people tend to paint social media platforms as being bad and causing damages more than good. The reason why most people would argue that Facebook is not right is because of the teenagers who use it for other non-productive reasons that put them under stress because they need social media assurance. It is ridiculous because the people they seek approval from barely know them. However, the teenager only wants to hear another person tell them that they are beautiful or handsome because that is what makes them smile. I can assure you that Facebook is mostly beneficial when used the right way because its features support the right kind of entertainment; there are groups that support discussions, and people build meaningful friendships. The earlier that one gets unbothered by issues of approval when they post their pictures, the earlier they learn to use social media for the right purposes.
