A person like Speaker Nancy Pelosi has risked his political career by fighting for the health rights of the American citizens. It was not for people like Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Attorney general William Barr America could not have achieved much in the departments of health and that of justice, which is vital to the sustainable development of any society.

As a conservatist, the American attorney talked against religion liberalism in America, arguing that religion help to promote discipline and morals that are needed to give support to a democratic government (Conley et al. 18). Barr argues that no society could be able to survive well without being able to restrain immoralities or vices. According to Barr, people also need to depend on religion to control and restrain vices in society apart from the government. People need not believe that it would be the sole responsibility of the government to regulate these vices. The decision by the attorney general to control the liberalism of the religion would deprive other regions like Muslims, Jews, Americans Indians, atheists, and Sikhs their liberty to worship and to carry out other activities (Fish & Stanley, 47). The attorney general has tried to reverse the Obama policy on the adoption of Faith-based agencies. This reversal could cause discrimination of people from other religious groups that are not from the mainstream churches like the Roman Catholics. By saying that his religious beliefs and faith could have a significant influence on the decision he could be making as the American attorney could have adverse effects on the American law and justice system. Coming from a catholic faith would mean that his decisions would mostly be affected by his catholic faith, people from the other religions had to feel threatened because it would be likely that they won't get justice in the court system.

The loyalty the attorney general had to the leadership of the US, could make him compromise the rule of law in the country. Barr was known to have stronger protection and loyalty to the executive powers of the president in his past leadership. The high level of loyalty could affect the rule of law, and this would compromise the justice system in the country. In some issues, Barr has gotten seen to side with the president; He has been castigating the justice department saying that it is abandoning its responsibilities by doing investigation on the collusion that Trump had with the Russian government instead of being concerned with urgent issues like investigating the Clinton-Uranium transaction.

Supporting the president instead of supporting the rule of law has shown that it is very likely that the attorney general will be hostile to the civil liberties in the country as well as the civil rights of the people. Barr has to oblige himself to defend the constitution and the rule of law and not seen to act in serving the political interests of the US president that are anti-constitutional. Also, Barr's actions to defend President Trump on his decision to sack the former FBI directorate due to the investigations he had initiated against Russian have shown that the attorney general could be serving the interest of the political class against the will of the people. The loyalty by the attorney general to the political class will cause resistance from the American people because they will feel that they are not getting served the way the government officers should help them.

As a leader, Nancy Pelosi was liberal in her leadership as a speaker because she always discusses with the members of parliament reasons to support a bill that is before the house and not coercing them to advocate for the sake of doing it. The approach by Nancy Pelosi contradicts that of the outgoing Speaker John Boehner, who had a tendency of punishing members of the republican party who did not support a bill that was before the house of parliament (Aronoff & Kate 15). For example, those members who were seen to be rebels could be stripped of assignments within the house of parliament something that created animosity among the leadership of the Republican party. The leadership style by Speaker Nancy Pelosi has ensured that there is good coexistence among the leadership of the democratic party. Pelosi believes that it is not about imposing a deal to the people but spending more time discussing and negotiating to come up with a solution to a problem. By sending more time negotiating with other leaders about an issue makes those people have a better understanding of the subject in question and therefore having a reason to support it.

Conventional wisdom dictates that a strong leader is the one who makes a decision and then sticks to that decision despite the opposition that he or she can get from other people. Also, conventional wisdom suggests that weak leaders are those who are indecisive and change their minds occasionally. True leadership is deciding something or anything and supporting it, whether it is right or wrong. It takes courage to change one's mind and help something that someone had earlier objected. Speaker Nancy Pelosi has shown the courage it takes to change the mind of a person. After several months of resisting calls by his party to impeach the president, the Speaker has changed the tune and has abruptly changed the decision.

The Speaker has announced that she has started the proceedings about the impeachment based on the evidence that shows that the president had requested a foreign country to exchange favors that could benefit him as a person rather than the country at large. Wise leaders are the ones who are courageous to change their minds when there is enough evidence to do so. Nancy Pelosi decided to support the impeachment process on September 24th, 2019, as the Speaker of the parliament in the US (Postel & Danny 5-6). Her style of leadership of being dynamic has proved Nancy Pelosi to be a great leader in American history. Changing one's mind is the new leadership style because new facts and evidence get unearthed daily and it may require new decisions to get taken.

Both leaders Speaker Nancy Pelosi and attorney William Barr have portrayed different leadership styles in America. Speaker Nancy Pelosi has indicated that to be a strong leader, and somebody needs to change his or her mind when there is an excellent reason to do so. She has also shown the need to have a dialogue with other leaders to come up with a decision concerning an issue, unlike coercing or forcing them to support it against their wish or interest. William Barr has been decisive and firm on his stand about the liberalism of the religion in America. His decision to change the Obama policy on the adoption of the Faith-based agencies has portrayed the attorney general as an authoritarian leader who does not value the idea of discussing with other leaders to get a solution to an issue.
