Passion for This Earth

Richard Mabey remarks 'real stuff' in this section of the book. This term means the ability of an individual to find joy in the wonders and beauty of nature. At the moments of creation, it sheers wild playfulness. The nature of the sea is different from different places because of the geographical features surrounding it. In most areas, the salinity is so high that people don't survive in that sea. Also, the sea animals are extraordinary and different from animals in the land. They are mostly very complex and difficult to understand their way of life. These marine animals have a great idea of diversity from the tiny creatures like an amoeba to huge animals like dolphins, shark, and whales. Majority of lives which live in the sea include birds such as penguins, mammals, fungi and plants. However, the majority of parts beneath the sea remain unexplored by researchers.

Saved by The Sea

In this section, we come upon some "uncompromising dedication" to nature. This term is used to mean the preservation of oceans for the sake of the environment. Moreover, plans are explained about reducing the humanity effects and stabilizing the climate. There are three strategies which can be set to achieve include energy switch, energy modernization fund and progressive plan for fossil. Marine life is beneficial since it helps people in acquiring medicine, food supplements, and raw materials. Moreover, it has helped to boost the sector of tourism across the world. It has helped to determine the usefulness of our planet.

Passion for The Sea

In this section 'reclaim' has been the key terms to drive the concept. This states that nature is an illusion of technology. He indicates that technology can be used in conservation and impacting nature positively. It says that technology can be used in reimaging the world and restoring social justice towards environmental preservation. The sea and ocean also give us the majority of ingredients of the food we eat. Giving an example of a salt that we extract from seawater by use of technology (Bass, Weisman, Mabey, & Caldicott, 2008). The sea provides live hood of several fishers and lives hood within the shore. The sea is home to a lot of life forms because the food it contains has a lot of nutrition
