Materials for Making a Monowheel
Outer Frame: Should be large and sufficiently severe to sit in, and enable the drive to influence it to move. Use a 50mm distance across steel tube with a wall thickness of around 3.5mm, molded into a 1.5m hoop.Inner Frame: The inner frame holds the drive, the power source, and seat. The center of mass should be kept as low as possible to enable stability.
Rollers: Rollers allow resolution of the outer ring around the inner frame. Four or more 100mm nylon rollers should be used to facilitate free movement depending on the design.
Power Source: The power source can be an engine that uses petrol, steam power, pedals, or an electric motor. This is chosen depending on personal preferences and the ability to work efficiently.
Drive: A wheel that runs against the inside of the outer ring should be used. A friction-type drive is preferred.
Procedure for Development of a Monowheel
To develop a Monowheel, start with a thick aluminum tube which is bent into a 6-foot series of spirals, like a huge spring. A metal shop does the initial work of turning the tube. This is done carefully so that the inside edges are not crimped. Note that the spirals will not be entirely round at first. Cut the pieces of the aluminum tube until you have a single circle with flush ends and then clamp the tube to a giant steel slab, gasket it down, bump it around, heat it and relieve it, and then weld in place the balance lugs. Work on the wheel until it gets flat and round. Connect the ends of the circle by welding an aluminum lug into the center. To compensate for the lug, weld a scrap piece of equal weight to the opposite side.
The rubber tread for this new wheel originates as several new motorcycle tires which are cut up and stuck to the original rim with unique primers. Modify a brand-new Briggs and Stratton 5-horsepower engine to crank out 15 horsepower and suspend it inside the frame by soft urethane mounts connected to steel rollers. The frame and outside wheel are glided along the rollers with a soft suspension. Pour molten lead into empty spaces under the engine (Parks, 2006). The wheel comprises an electric engine, which triggers the motor, a battery and a gyro sensor, which responds if the focal point of gravity of the bike tilts forward or in reverse. The sensor deals with the electric engine such that the wheel is continually endeavoring to return to the adjusting point

Advantages of a Monowheel
Stability
Mono-wheel vehicles rely upon a gyroscopic impact to keep them upright. In any case, when mono-wheel vehicles are intended for human transportation, incredible care must be taken to guarantee that the rider is stationary and does not move in respect to the development or energy of the turning wheel. To achieve this, unpredictable controlling, stability, and parts are required which expands the cost of the gadgets to the degree that the general public can't appreciate the same. One case of a remote-controlled mono-wheel vehicle is the Gyrover II outlined at Carnegie Mellon University. The Gyrover II's precise energy produces horizontal stability when the wheel is ceased or moving gradually. A tilt component is utilized to tilt the inside gyroscope's axis about the fore/toward axis concerning the wheel. Since the interior spinner goes about as an inertial reference, the main impact of the tilt activity is to make the wheel steer toward inclining. Torques produced by a drive motor respond against the inner gyrator, which hangs as the pendulum from the wheel's pivot. The torques deliver push for quickening and braking the Gyrover II.
Maximum Radius of the Wheel
Another advantage of a monowheel vehicle over multi-wheeled vehicles is that the radius of the wheel is boosted concerning the span of a given vehicle, empowering the vehicle to arrange more significant obstructions than ordinary vehicles arranged on little wheels.
Conserves Human Energy
Monowheel can be helpful in the large organization like schools, campuses, different industries. They facilitate movement from one place to another, and this does not only conserve human energy but also they are used as means of transport hence they help in time management.
Monowheel Does not Pollute The Environment
Unlike other means of transport like the use of vehicles, motorbikes and other movable machines, monowheel has reduced effects of pollution to the surrounding. They are environment-friendly, and hence they help us in the conservation of our habitat by letting people breath fresh air.

Disadvantages of a Monowheel
Limited Capacity
Monowheels carries only one person at a time. Monowheels have never caught on with a broad audience of passengers to use it as a practical method of transportation. The whimsical appearance of the monowheel fundamentally ensures that there will dependably be new ages of originators willing to attempt their hand at making the following prominent one, yet the world may never observe armies of these odd vehicles parading down the thruway conveying people who commute to work. Therefore, it will take time before monowheels flood the market for people to accept and use them as convenient means of transportation.
Monowheels are Expensive
People prefer to use the most convenient and easily accessible means of transport, unlike monowheels which require more capital compared to other methods. For this reason, monowheels have not been considered as severe means of transportation but they are regarded as recreation means.
Monowheels are Time-Consuming
It takes a lot of time to produce a working monowheel most likely a month. This operation may become so tiresome and may cause errors.
Difficult to Control
Monowheels are difficult to control compared to other movable machines. This can be very risky since they can easily cause accidents. Another reason why monowheel is not considered an efficient means of transportation is their ability to crush easily which may result in severe injuries to the person controlling the machine.
