Introduction

Social media is a rising means for interactions where the users create new friends online (Yao & Yu, 2016). However, it also comes with its share of disadvantages as it leads to addiction and a change of behavior by different users especially the teenagers in college. Summarizing and analyzing the article plays a major role in helping the readers get informed about the effects of the excessive use of social media to users and how it can be handled.
The article has different points that support the thesis statement given. The points include that digital platforms have been on the rise as the digital era continues to grow bigger; thus, it supplements other media sources such as televisions, newspapers, and radios. In the current generation, news spread across several societies in a very fast way, and this causes the behaviors and judgments of an individual to be affected (Yao & Yu, 2016). The use of different forms of social media have been reported to cause violence among the users, antisocial behavior, and thoughts of aggression, which are realized either in short terms or long term. On the positive side, social media can cause the development of positive behaviors among users when they come across people who respect different social norms.
The author of this article uses an organization of ideas that focuses on social media and its effects. Effects are a result of causes in the article, and the author uses different social media causes to explain the effects that are realized in the use of social media by different audiences. The article is divided in different experiments that help to create logic evidence to the audience about the topic and how the effects can be reduced. The authors of the article use a great design of sentence structure and choice of words incorporating different figurative languages for easy understanding to the audience. The data presented in the results include statistics, and facts and they play a major role in presenting the evidence about the basis of the topic. The facts provided in the article are logic because they are primary information from different participants; hence, the information discussed is credible for use by different individuals.
The format used in the article is effective because the authors arrange the ideas in different parts and incorporate methodology where they involve different participants who offer data regarding the impactss of social media on college scholars. The article is divided into an abstract, introduction, two experiments, their results, and their discussions, and they are effective in making the flow of ideas understandable to the readers (Yao & Yu, 2016). The article is logic and credible in that it provides facts from primary and secondary researches. An example is the fact provided that "quality and quantity of public update play parts in the dissemination influence" .Conclusion
The strategies used in the article are successful because they spread the idea of the author about how behavior is affected by the exposure to social news. The use of official language, and different techniques such as data and case studies help to provide support to the argument of the author. The article is effective in informing and persuading the readers, which makes it a good source for a reader doing any research.
