Introduction
While conducting this research, I learned how relevant the Human Resources department is to a business. Human Resources is a great career choice for several reasons. There is a lot of professional growth that comes with this job. The purpose of this job is to ensure that the organization can achieve success through people. Many responsibilities come with this job, such as staffing, employee compensation and benefits, and conspiring the work environment. Essentially, this job is to maximize the dynamic of a business by improving the result of its employees.
Through this research, I also learned that this career field has little chance for computer skills, so with the proper training and expertiseH.R.HR will always be most of the same tasks in the changing job market. What’s great about this field that I learned is that there’s still employment that you can find. If you like coordinating and managing, you will do great at this job. Human resources managers plan a lot of things that go on in a company.
Executive Summary
Human resource management refers to all the undertakings that come under the umbrella of Human Resource management. These activities include Human resource planning, job analysis design, recruitment and selection, orientation and induction, training and development, performance appraisal, compensation planning and remuneration, motivation, welfare, health and safety, and industrial relations. The officer under the Human Resource of office is mandated to support recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring, and employee counselling. In recent days, employers are coping with valuing hardworking individuals as a rising stock in terms of talent prowess. All company’s future relies on the ability to acknowledge and develop delightful talent among its workforce. As this change continues to spread through the Human Resource rank, I wish to be part of this cerebral evolution.
Furthermore, there are several benefits of becoming a Human resource manager including, exhausting an opportunity to bestow to widespread organizational consonance and have a role to play strategically in company layout, and it’s up and running. Business flourishing depends entirely on the workforce the company hires irrespective of how crafty or successful you are. Hence, successful Human Resource practices result in higher and better performance of companies. As a result, the company gets more profit and achieves a chance to enter into new businesses, thus increases industrial development even to the economy.
This study aims to determine whether a career as a Human Resources Manager is the right choice for the author. Therefore, it involves primary sources, which include interview questionnaires, books, and secondary sources such as websites. This report focusses on computer science and accounting and finance as a course of study. It further discusses the scope of the course, how technologies through computer science have an impact on running business entities and their role, not forgetting accounting.
This paper seeks to discuss available job opportunities in case one decides to pursue one of the courses mentioned hereunder as well as the type of degrees one should acquire and from which institutions. Furthermore, it gives light to available advantages and disadvantages in pursuing a career as a computer programmer or accountant since technology and accounting departments play a vital role in running day-to-day business firms’ activities.
Introduction
Every organization must have the human resource management department, which is solely responsible for recruiting, compensation, performance appraisal, making crucial, organization development, safety and wellbeing of the employees, motivation the workers, general administration, and lastly, training of the employees (Aquinas, p.13). Human resource management’s objectives tend to vary from organization to organization; however, in most cases, human resource management often has universal objectives which includes:
- To ensure maximum capitalization of the available human resources to achieve the goals and objectives of the company.
- To ensure equal and fair treatment to all workers, respectfully, and that there is no discrimination against any individual based on race, gender, age, or marital status.
- To boost the morale of the employees, by motivating the workers.
- To ensure that all employees are fairly rewarded for their efforts ensuring that the organization has achieved its objective.
Purpose
This business report discusses the role of human resource management in an organization in the 21st century on the issues, challenges, and solutions to the problems. In this study, the author focuses on the changes and challenges experienced by two departments in an organization: the accounts department and the information on computer programmers in this organization. Technology has effectively introduced several changes. More so, it has consequently affected several aspects of human resource management in conducting its affairs. They include the process of recruiting new workers, training its workforce on the latest technological advancements, for example how to use modern types of equipment, and changes in methods of production from being analog to digital.
Scope
The unwritten rule is that every organization must have accounts and information technology departments, and these two are the central theme of this report. These two departments play an essential role in the organization. Therefore the human resource management must ensure that it recruits qualified personnel who will oversee the day to day running of these departments of this business enterprise. The decision to focus on these two departments is informed by the accounts departments’ roles and the crucial and delicate roles played by those who work as computer programmers. Furthermore, this report widens its scope and focuses on the overall organizational hierarchical structure of these two departments.
Limitations
In the process of writing and finalizing this business report, the other experienced several obstacles. First, this report solely focuses on the role of human resource management on the outlook of accountants and computer programmers, only bypassing other equally essential departments. Consequently, it makes the report incomplete and bipartisan to some extent, due to the limitations on the subject matter of study. Second, the study of this reported was characterized by limited financial budget; hence the interviews and surveys were limited to a few individuals and firms due to this; a comprehensive report could not be availed. Third, this report failed to capture the need to include the unskilled workforce personnel, thus failing to recognize and appreciate their input. Lastly, the time allocated for conducting research, writing the report, and submitting it was insufficient. Limited time allocation makes the author to hurriedly do research and present a story, which misses out some factors that could have had positive effects on the final report herein.

This report adopted the formal report organization imputing the following:
- Letter of transmittal
- Title page indicating the student’s name, paper title and the institution of learning
- An executive summary which sums up the contents of the entire paper
- A table of contents providing headings, subheadings, and the page numbers
- Methods used to conduct the research
- The results of the report
- Qualifications are necessary for one to be an accountant or computer programmer.
- Conclusion of the report, does it has any recommendation or an observation?
- Works cited section detailing on the reference materials used.
- Appendices are showing graphs and tables.
Sources and methods
While writing this report, the author had to access scholarly materials, namely books and journal articles, to strengthen the report’s findings. Electronic devices such as laptops and iPad also came in handy during the research period. These research materials were locally available even though the author was forced to import some that were not readily available.
The interviews were conducted in several ways, including one-on-one conversations, questioner filling, use of emails, seeking an opinion from the professionals, and using the latest technological discoveries, such as zoom meetings. The sources and methods applied were effective and thus authenticating the findings of this report. The list of references is available on the work cited list. The interviews were randomly done and conducted on a concerned workforce irrespective of job group or class, race gender, and physical status.
According to the computer science.org (2009), a computer programmer is entrusted with writing and testing tasks coding to allow the computers to operate and function efficiently. Other functions of computer programmers are to translate the software, enable designs to engineers to break them down into a workable code, updating and expanding the systems of existing programs, and correcting the errors and faults using languages, for example, Python, C+++, Java. Computer programmers are generally required to work for 40 hours and 50 hours in a week. It is attributed to the health concerns which arise from prolonged use of computers. Computer programmers’ daily schedule is as follows; write, update and maintain all the computer programs responsible for handling different tasks such as inventory tracking, data storage, and retrieval, and controlling of any other equipment. Programmers are also expected to write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs by relying on the workflow charts and the diagrams by applying their vast knowledge of computer applications.
