The Facebook group decided to make changes to their privacy policies by making them more plain and open to Facebook users. These changes were external to this group since they were necessitated by factors such as exposition made by Cambridge Analytica scams. Facebook, as revealed, was collecting and manipulating user data maliciously. The expected outcomes of the changes are that Facebook users will be more likely to be cautious of their privacy the next time they are using it. The users are likely to read and understand the privacy policies well and hence take control of their privacies. External constituents are perceiving the change as a positive attempt to try to make people take their privacy into their own hands. However, some Facebook users are still very skeptical about the change as they think Facebook will continue compromising their privacy.

Structural inertia can be defined as a connection that exists between a class of organizations and their surroundings (Hannan & Freeman,1984). The internal factors that contribute to structural inertia in my organization include organizational culture, the company's slogan and mission, leadership style and also the changes that come with leadership. The external factors that contribute to structural inertia in my organization are factors such as advances in technology, the economy of the country, customers and also the level of competition. The organization does not have any control over the external factors. In the case of birth, the factors, both internal and external that were needed to coalesce to form the organization structural inertia include technological advancements and favorable economic conditions for startups combined with good leadership and managerial qualities.

Liability of newness can be interpreted to mean that new startup organizations, due to their new found status, face several challenges that always make them prone to failure (Schoonhoven, 2015). My organization was able to overcome the liability of newness to a combination of various supportive internal and external factors. These factors included advances in technology. The time density factor favored the success of my organization. The organization was one of the pioneers of social media and utilized this position to establish itself before competitors grew quickly. The organization also was formed at a time when the country was experiencing favorable economic times. The leadership style of my organization made use of better managerial qualities which helped the company to overcome the liability of newness.

My organization was also able to overcome the liability of newness due to agglomeration of economies. The fact that this organization was founded at an area that had many young people eager to use the social media favored the growth of the organization. The organization found instant customers that kept it running right from the time it was founded. My organization never benefitted however form interorganizational ties at its infancy. This is because the organization was independent and did not seek any ties with other organizations.

Resource dependency is the organization's relationship to the external environment. The recent very strained relationship between the government and Facebook due to the Cambridge Analytica scam caused the shares of the company to drop and the reputation to fall. The other factor that could result in the death of the company is organizational ecology. Organizational ecology deals with the performance of the company about certain trends and changes in the population. Lately, customers of my organization have begun having a negative attitude towards it due to the Cambridge Analytica scam.

A core change reignites the liability of newness since the organization will be exploring uncharted waters after the change. A core change affects the organization because a major part of the organization is done away with or revised. Liability of newness can be interpreted to mean that new startup organizations, due to their new found status, face several challenges that always make them prone to failure.

The resource dependency of my organization has been seen in effect by the company's relation to other external bodies and companies. These bodies include the government and other social media platforms such as Instagram and WhatsApp. The organization has been having good relations with its competitors such as Twitter. Organizational ecology has also affected the company. The users have been becoming avid internet users, and therefore the number of customers has increased.

The major change that I have focused on can be compared to that of the social media organization Twitter. Twitter has undergone tremendous policy changes since it was founded to keep the privacy of the users' data in check. This organization is similar to mine since it has the same structural inertia framework as my organization and therefore experiences similar challenges.
