Statistics show that approximately 90 percent of the American public is struggling and is currently struggling with addiction and is not getting any form of treatment. Access to the treatment is vital and will make a huge difference. It will ensure that more Americans will lead healthy lives. Promoting the use of overdose-reversing drugs

States have slowly but surely pilled many Americans back from the brink each year by expanding access to various drugs like naloxone. This type of drug can reverse the effect of the overdose effect of opioids. The grants given to the states were also to be used to make such drugs easier and more affordable. In any epidemic, the best way to win it is by providing public health information. Public health information will greatly assist the health sector in performing cutting-edge research.

A cost-effective way to address the problem

Reducing demand and providing alternatives- the opioid users' education on the adverse effects of their addiction and issuing them with non-addictive drugs. This method would receive more acceptance from the affected persons (Scholl et al., 2019). It is also more effective compared to any other means.
