There are several reasons which cause individuals to resort to organ selling. Poverty usually plays a significant role when it comes to the sale of organs. Since most people living below poverty needs require having their daily needs being catered for, it is not challenging to have them sacrificing some of their organs to acquire money. Individuals look desperate and whenever they require cash that badly, the selling of organs is not seen as being a contrary idea since it is the only potential option for these individuals (Bilefsky, 2012). Many parents living in poverty conditions often become embarrassed from the fact that they are unable to offer basic needs for their families hence they may resort to something which is as low as selling their organs to acquire what they would want. In most of the times, these individuals who are in poverty are unable to obtain jobs even if they have attempted looking for one which becomes their last alternative to acquire a decent source of finance to make their lives easier.

This provides another cause of why individuals are involved in organ selling. This provides another reason why some individuals who need transplant begin looking for other alternatives for obtaining it. Given that there are about 7, 000 individuals from the United States that die every year because they lack acquiring transplant as they require, desperation may become a potential cause which is assisting in accelerating the black markets of organs. These include some of the most common reasons which have resulted in individuals utilizing the black market as being a source where they can sell their organs.

The effect of individuals selling a given organ is that more individuals will be assisted. Even though the selling of organ remains as being illegal, the black market for organs saves lives through alleviating the shortages of the transplant organs (Scheper-Hughes, 2009). Therefore, the saving of many lives is seen as a right end, and the act of selling an organ is defensible as being a way of attaining the positive end. There is usually a long list of individuals who are waiting for transplants and donations frequently do not come around that frequent. As for the individuals in poverty, the implication is that individuals will acquire the organ which they need, but the individuals who require the money will also get the money which will cater for their survival.

If the selling of organs were made legal, things such as organ trafficking would no be big issues since individuals may sell them and begin building their money instead of allowing themselves to become manipulated. There is the belief that the poor are always being taken advantage of, but given that selling of organs was legal, the poor would stand up for themselves and start selling their organs with no trafficking. Less worry would be experienced that is associated with regulating the black market, and then the need of imprisoning individuals caught selling organs would decrease.

Many people argue that that the monetary incentives are more likely to begin inducing individuals to give up the transplantable organs and it is a way for compensating individuals for losing a given organ. Therefore, it indicates that individuals are coming to identify what might be a great alternative to assist in saving several lives. Many individuals are usually reluctant to donate their organs since multiple risks are associated with it given that they do not expect to be given something in return. Instead of having people waiting for a required organ be donated which may be not the perfect match for the body of that individual, there should be the option of individuals buying what they require to become better and continue living. This alternative will assist several individuals who are on the waiting list when they receive the organ they need to have a second shot of their life.

Having of the monetary incentives to individuals who have decided to donate their organs is an excellent idea as there are some risks associated in the process. It is the choice of individuals to sell their organs, and this choice will result in saving a life hence there is no reason to stop this from happening.
