From being able to point a click with the mouse, to having fun with paint, a computer has never let me down. That's how I ended up here today; this is my story.

I was exposed to computers at a very young age. My dad was a hardware engineer and his profession came as a bonus to me. However, I didn't develop the love of hardware like he did; instead I loved the software part. The software part to me seemed as an amazing point to solve problems for machines. My first experience using a computer I was just amazed by the graphics and friendliness of the computer. The Microsoft tools in the computer helped me enhance all the basic computer skills and abilities. During the early days, it was all about gaming. The computer games really contributed a lot to my cognitive skills. I wouldn't know then, but I have learnt of late, that the cognitive skills I gained from then really helped me.

Computers began changing my entire life when I got exposed to the world of programming. I joined the world of programming after realizing I didn't have the talent in the rest of the programs that other really liked. Everyone of my age liked sport, movies, films and even songs but I wasn't really interested in those. Soon, every young person around the neighborhood including my parents considered me a nerd. It is then that I found real passion in joining the programmer community. Having already been fascinated by the software, with programming I was introduced to the exposure of an immense power. I couldn't believe that I could make computers do whatever I wanted them to do for me. I began enjoying programming a lot. Soon after I was introduced to the idea, I had to join the programmers club. The community of programmers 44helps me kill some free time. As soon as before I knew, I had developed a hobby of programming. The community let me grow as a developer, apart from that; it also expanded my bubble of knowledge.

Soon before I knew it I had joined college. My love for computers was still here and so I decided I would follow my passion. During my college days, I began developing loads of different applications and software. Most of the applications that I developed were need based, except, from the games that I also developed. During the same period in the college, I was privileged to join Microsoft Student Program (MSP). The MSP program allowed me to join a lot of older programmers and software developers who apparently had a lot of experience on app and software development. All of these people even knew what exactly customers or clients looked for in an app or software.

The exposure to MSP gave me a whole new opportunity with unique and high level technology. The exposure to all this new programs helped me develop my employability. Every college student that has ever gotten the privilege has been employed and so I had to take this opportunity. My enthusiasm in technology had made me to participate in this program and being college, computers had just made me make one of the best decisions in my life. Joining the MSP was my best dream. As soon as I had gained recognition among my fellow MSP, I began the opportunity to play with technology. I began a project of finding out how people of old age didn't like technology. Soon I realized, the older people think technology is not for them since they lack knowledge of it. Technology is not complex to the old age, but, they aren't fully exposed to it. I took it upon myself, as a member of the MSP, to make the older society aware of the current trend in technology. I am still in school, but, I enjoy every minute that I leave due to what computers have done to me.

For every trendy part and software, I would expose it to many people of old age as much as I could. As soon as I exposed someone of old age I would monitor the progress they had made a week or two later. It was clear that when people are exposed to how different pieces of technology work they get pretty active in adapting the new trends. Later within the years, with the help of the Microsoft organized employees, we developed and conducted different seminars and events to make people especially of old age aware of the latest trends and how they could make their lives easier using technology. Right now I am very proud of what technology has done to me.

Conclusion

In a nutshell, Computers have always been a big part of my life, if not the only thing in my life. Computers have helped learn, develop, and grow. From when I was a kid playing video games to the college student that I am today. Most of the recognition I get today is because of computers. At least I am not being considered a nerd by my peers anymore without mentioning my parents. It is because of computers that I have made new friends, that I am able to survive, and that I am able to acclimatize impact to the society even as a student. I swear I will continue to adopt and elevate every single entity of the computer.
