The History Lens

Wonder Woman tells the heroic tale of a female comic character who rose to defend the world from a male-dominated society in 1941 (Hanley, 2014). The theoretical frameworks of power and wisdom frame the exploration of Wonder Women through the history lens. The artifact inspires many social issues dealing with the position of men and women in society. The artifact is more than an artistic creation because it focuses on the changing roles of females in society from historical times. Females were generally regarded as inferior, and the males were to take care of the women and provide for with their families. The females, on the other hand, were to bear children and perform domestic duties. Wonder Woman revolutionalized the role of females in the universe by assigning iconic roles to the comic character. Wonder Woman sparked a more hands-on approach to social matters by women and contributed to the rise of the contemporary trend towards gender equality.

Wonder Woman caused the social issues of female empowerment. Throughout the evolution of the Wonder Women brand, parents have over the years taken it upon themselves to buy their daughters merchandise related to Wonder Woman (Lepore, 2015). The golden W in clothing is common in social media, and virtually all clothing brands have dedicated lines that distribute and sell wonder woman merchandise. The result is a general move towards female empowerment and building of confidence in females to take up more predominantly male-dominated jobs. For example, the superhero artifacts have led to an increase in women who join the armed forces due to its depiction of the protagonist as a fearless female ambitious to make the world just.

Wonder Women artifacts have led to the development of gender equality in societies worldwide. Before the invention of the comic character, heroes with superpowers were all male, and kids who are the significant audiences to comic characters grew up knowing that heroes are only male (Hanley, 2014). However, the Wonder Women artifacts watered-down the social misconceptions enabling children to grow in a world where males and females have equal opportunities. Children thus grow up knowing that all genders are equal and each can achieve all they set out to attain. Furthermore, the Wonder Women artifacts revolutionalise gender roles from the beginning of society since children are the significant audiences to the comic brand. Female and male children coexist from tender ages and thus solve the problem of gender bias from its root.

The Natural Sciences Lens

Wonder Woman artifacts have contributed to drastic changes in the entertainment industry with the invention of more superhero movies. Wonder Woman was introduced in 1941 in a comic industry that was renowned for Batman and Superman. However, the artifact received widespread acknowledgement and provoked movie makers to invent and adapt to changing technologies and deliver more superhero movies and other literature. The artfacts thus led to the development of science in the field of technology since the characters have to be engineered using computer graphics, 3-D imaging among other technologies. The results are evident in contemporary society in the numerous superheroes that are used in making comic books and films. The technological advancements caused by Wonder Woman have enabled the coding of contemporary superheroes such as "Arrow", "Aquaman", "Captain America", "Thor" among others (Hanley, 2014).

The scientific aspect of Wonder Woman is founded on the artifacts nature as entirely factual or totally fake. Wonder woman is known for her actions of deflecting bullets shot at her. She deflected the bullets with her wrists, on which she had her special bracelets (Hanley, 2014). According to science, it is impossible for a human to match the speed of a bullet and combat it with natural reflexes. It is not biologically possible for human hands to react to successive bullets without injuring the host. Furthermore, science has proven that the integrity of a bulletproof surface is compromised when the surface is overwhelmed with bullets up to a point where it gives in and loses its shielding properties. However, Wonder Woman had no extra bracelets meaning that hers would protect her from raging gunfire for infinitely long times.

Wonder Woman supports the contemporary claim that women's power, emotions and tendencies to reproduce are all tied together. Wonder Woman is a biological masterpiece. Despite her fictitious character traits, her power is controlled by her emotions as evidenced in the strength of her punches (Lepore, 2015). Back in the world wars, medical practitioners used drugs to manage various conditions in the soldiers' bodies. Conditions such as lack of sleep, pain and hunger were medically altered to maintain emotional balance in the soldiers. Similarly, Wonder Woman combats various challenges with applications of scientific warfare such as chemicals that have hitherto shaped military technologies. Evaluation of Wonder Woman through the natural lens invokes the theoretical framework of scientific methods in understanding the science behind her unmatched power and combat prowess. Use of chemical and biological methods in modern societies shows an effect of Wonder Woman and her associated powers in line with natural sciences.
