One of the great political system, especially in the medieval. During the period, there were various kingdoms such as the Roman kingdom and different European kingdoms such as the United Kingdom. The famous monarch system is one of the Roman Empire. A monarch has to remain a ruler until death. The system helped in the flourishing of human beings by uniting the people together and making them focus on enlarging their territories. Religious was also associated with these types of leadership, for example, in the Roman kingdom, Claudius was made a god and had a temple and priests. The move also encouraged scientific evolution, especially on construction and weapons. However, this leadership was associated with several wars and destruction of resources. All these could have been useful.

Democratic politics are the other forms of political structures that are related to the establishment of independent nations who were initially colonized by the European kingdoms and countries. The USA is one of the countries with a democratic political structure where a leader must be elected every four years. Democracy has helped in human flourishing through the establishment of the need for competition. In a democratic nation, people are competing for everything; leadership is one of them. Therefore, presidents have been encouraged innovation and invention to retain their presidency. Thus, through competition, people are improving and flourishing. On the other hand, in some cases, competition by better rivalry has resulted in wars and destruction of property. Hence in this extents, people do not evolve to the other expected level. For example, democracy is developing countries is destroying evolution rather than building it.

Totalitarianism is the other form of political leadership. They existed in both the medieval period and are also around today in some countries such as North Korea. This system of government involves when a group of people holds absolute power over others. The subjects under the totalitarian leadership live in fear and repression from the ones who lead them. The totalitarian system does not encourage expression; hence it cannot promote creativity and innovation. For example, in case a person discovers a new technology, he will be afraid of showing it to the people. Generally, through fear, people cannot evolve. Additionally, there is no competition under such a type of government since the few groups are the ones that are always leading. On the other hand, the system could encourage the flourishing of the people in case the leaders are creative and innovative. In this case, they can control the majority of people to work toward a particular idea hence improving it.

Conclusion

Several political systems have various impacts on the development and flouring of human beings. However, each system's impact depends on the nature of the leadership approach and the influence of the leaders toward discovery and innovation. Yet, some of the systems such as totalitarianism have a more negative impact on human evolution than its positive nature. Generally, the world has reached its level of development through the influence of various political systems.
