Obama's speech was very inspiring but controversial as it emphasizes the black community more than any other community. In addition his former Reverend Wright had made racist comments. However, from a positive point of view Obamas aim was to show Americans that no matter the ethical background the nation could come together. Obama was running for president and he was appealing for the minority helps. Knowing the Obamas background he was trying to get the point across (Obama, 2008).

Obama's speech is inspiring since he talks of how we all come from different background and how we can come together. However these Obamas points are forgotten in the world we live in today. Obama encourages the nation to overlook the bad and negativity from the past years and the nation would be stronger and better (Obama, 2008). Obama uses himself as an example from his background as a way to show that the nation can come together no matter the ethical background. In his speech he states that all Americans are part of him and the country he loves very much.

Barack Obama suggests that the Americans should not be moved by the past forward but moved by coming together no matter the race background. Obama states that racism today can never be ignored due to its sordid past in history. In his speech he says the Americans should confront the past and act upon building a strong nation (Obama, 2008). Based on his story he shows how it is possible for every American to achieve the American dream in the current generation. He states that there is no other country on the planet that his dream and story can be possible (Obama, 2008). Obama's speech through his examples showed it could attract diverse culture.

America is going through so many challenges today in terms of racism and migrants. Obama showed the power of coming together through his own examples in the speech. The words of Obama should remain relevant and never forgotten as they are a reflection of unity to the nation of America. Through Obama's words they a proof that racism can be eradicated in the United States by the citizens themselves through overlooking the past. The speech should be an inspiration to the current generation which is been divided by ethical background. The Americans are aware of the dilemma of racism in the nation within the communities in America and Obama's speech should always bring relevance in American citizens.
