Introduction

Blood lands is a book, which was written by Snyder to explore his ideas of what happened during the event of World War II. He further explained that the war occurred due to the ideological differences, which existed between two groups of people that is Nazi and the Soviet Union. The book vividly describes how Hitler and Stalin misuse their powers to discriminate against the people whom they rule. It also reveals how people ended up losing their properties, being displaced, and more so their lives at the event of World War II. Also, the author of the book, specifically Snyder, exploits his feelings towards those who were affected during the event of the war either by means of killing. The book also shows that there were some of the policies, which were implemented by the organization of human rights in order to fight against those who were murderous, starting with the leadership of Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin. The paper will, therefore, highlight the ends in which murderous policies were being prosecuted against the victims involved in the event of the war, the extent to which the violence was perpetuated, and how significant is the history of blood lands specifically to the people of 21st century.

Snyder took initiative actions upon those who went against murderous policies by opening prosecution against them. The book of blood lands also shows how Snyder portrays ways in which world War II was limited. He uses the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) to initiate prosecution upon those violated human rights through the massive killing of people and displacing them in their respective regions during the event of the war. Also, Snyder initiated prosecution against those who violated human rights by encouraging the courts who were involved in the act of prosecution to pass judgment upon them, and if found guilty, charges should be applied (Pyrah, Robert, 20). This aided in reducing the occurrence of another war. Moreover, the murderous policies were prosecuted at the end of the war in order to fight against the production of more weapons hence reducing the loss of lives, which was mostly witnessed in the regions. Also, the blood lands also ended up prosecution of murderous policies as a way of reducing famine and starvation, which had only resulted due to the war which was going on in that particular region.

On the other hand, violence was perpetrated by the leadership systems specifically form the leaders who were in the powers during the event of war. Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler were identified as the leaders who pioneered in the act of killing the people by funding their respective soldiers in which they could the money provided by their leaders to buy poisonous weapons and later used them during the war. As a result, it ended it up in the violation of human rights since many people lost their lives, and those who managed to survive become refugees in other countries because they were being displaced in their original homeland (Wildt, Michael, and Jan Plamper, 24).Also, Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin violated perpetuation through racism. They demonstrated racism within their regions through the displacement of people and even killing those who were not belonging to their race. This was evident in Germany, where there was a conflict between the Nazi and the Soviet Union. Blood lands also demonstrate how violence was depicted in Europe since innocent people were killed.

Snyder based his argument that the history of blood lands is a representation of moral significance, especially to the people of the 21st century. He argues that it is a reflection of the past event of what had happened before some of them were born. Also, Snyder argues that blood lands will teach the people of the 21st century to identify the dangers of engaging. It also enables the people of the 21st century to learn how to cope with the war whenever it occurs amongst themselves. Also, the book of blood lands has taught the people of the 21st century to unite themselves in order to promote peace in their communities. It also teaches them how those in power misuse their leadership qualities to violate human rights, as drawn from Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler. The history of blood lands also represents a significant lesson to the people of the 21st century as it reminds them of the issue of racism in their own society. It helps them to learn the importance of eliminating racism in their various societies hence reducing the incidences of conflicts among them, which may later lead to war between one community and the other. It is also important to them since it gives them a sense of recognizing the importance of fostering a good relationship with different communities hence reducing cases of wars.
