Facts:
During March 2001, LN testified that the appellant entered her room and asked her if she could practice the sexual things with him. The awful deed occurred when the appellant together with MB, LN, and he three children went to visit the appellant's grandfather in Texas (The United States v. Shannon L. Best p.3).
The court's decision
The court ruled centered on the theory that the victim was conditioned to comply at an early age by the defendant; the court affirmed that the staff Sergeant Young was guilty of rape.

United States v. Greene

Facts:
Besides, before the hearing, Greene's home was rummaged, and at that time he was detained, Greene filed a motion to hold back the testimonials he made to the DEA representatives (United States v. Greene par.1).

The court admitted his statements into evidence, and the trial court denied his motion

The case involves Mrs. Ulen, who was a passenger on an airplane operated by the defendant.
Facts:
The plane operated by the defendant crushed causing significant wounds to Ulen. Because of the injuries, Ulen and her husband separately filed suit against the defendant. (American Airline v. Ulen, par.1).
The court's decision
In their negligence actions against the American Airlines (defendant), the district court granted a summary verdict in favor of Mrs. Ulen and Mr. Ulen (plaintiffs).
The rule of law
The summary judgment is appropriate when no genuine issue of material fact exists.

Carney v. American University
United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit 151F. 3d 1090 (D.C. Cir. 1998)
Parties:
Carney Darion (plaintiff) was the director of the student services at the American University (defendant).
Facts:
Carney was not selected for the permanent dean position when he applied for the post. Moreover, two years later, after a period of rationalizing, the American university excluded Carney from her station (Carney v. American University par.1).
The court's decision
The District Court excluded the letter under the federal rule of evidence (FRE) 408, that Carnie sought to introduce to prove her retaliation claim.

The rule of law is the black letter law upon which the court rested its decision.
