Introduction
It is an undeniable fact that the introduction of technology has played a vital role in human life. Technology, since its inception, has benefited many sectors and become part of people's daily lives. In the dynamic world today, without technology, it is meaningless, and various activities cannot be achieved. Technology, which entails bringing multiple tools together to enhance creation and exchange of information, has an aim of making work more manageable to solve many challenges experienced by humankind, in production or manufacture of goods and services or even communicate with people within an institution or globally (Gamser, 1988). Technology keeps on facing changes that promote its advancement, and this makes work much easier, in that use of technology now does many activities that were operated by staff. Science principles are essential in understanding how the technology works. Technology, however, is impacted by various basic science principles, including and not limited to motion, energy, and nature of forces. The laws of motion, as a form of scientific principle, have an impact on computer networking. The rules of motion as identified by Newton include the first, second, and third laws. These laws work together and lay a foundation for the operation of various activities. The laws explain the relationship between a body and a force that enables it to work in response to the power. According to the first law, an object remains at rest or moves at a constant velocity unless a force is applied to it. The second law asserts that the sum of the forces that act on an object is defined by the mass of the object multiplied by its acceleration. The third law, on the other hand, asserts that when a body applies force on a second body, the second body exerts the same force that is equal in magnitude and opposite in direction to the first body (Giancoli, 2005). The first law, therefore, deals with the definition of the force; the second law offers a measure of the force while the third law holds that a single isolated force does not exist.
Computer networking entails the use of Ethernet cable to connect a series of computers. The connected computers can share the same resources, such as printers, file servers, access to internet among others. Motion, as stated in the third law, influences the functioning of connected computers. This is because the computers apply a certain force on each other to enhance operation and sharing of the resources. If two computers are connected by the use of the same Ethernet cable, then the second computer applies the same force in magnitude to the first computer and opposite in direction, in that it might not serve the same purpose, to enhance speed and efficiency. This has been mainly witnessed in cyber where many computers are connected to the internet by use of one Ethernet cable but serve different purposes. The law of motion explains the force that acts on the machines. Motion further impacts on Computer networking is that it enables many local networks to operate by the use of the same server.
As stated in the second law of motion, where mass multiplied by acceleration defines the sum of forces that act on an object, computer networking has to consider the local area regarding its size, such as how wide it is and how the network will serve the people well. Therefore, the networking is boosted by ensuring the area that it serves and the speed it uses enhances network access determined by the strength of a router, which is the central node of a network. The level of motion is therefore used to assess the speed and mass of the computers, which is essential in ensuring that the router used has enough strength to serve a wider area. This has therefore been useful in ensuring that the speed of functioning of computers that are connected to the same router is fast.
The functioning of computers is affected by motion in that it could enhance its efficiency or lead to a slow process. The laws of motion have been useful in ensuring that machines can work at a faster rate and ease work. The first law of motion states that an object stays at rest or moves at a constant velocity unless a force is applied. Various applications have been used in ensuring that computers can work faster. The speed of computers is attributed to how fast information is conveyed and processed (Sohraby et al., 2007). The electrons used in transmitting the data is enhanced by the use of transistors and wires that measure its speed and ensure that a force is applied to improve it.
Conclusion
In conclusion, science principles play a central role in computer technology. The computers are controlled to perform various functions that depend on multiple forces that are crucial to their efficiency in functioning. It is essential to study the principles to ensure that technological advancement suits certain science principles that are vital for its performance. It is evident that scientific principles have been useful in unlocking technology and enhancing improvements that have been witnessed in many sectors.References
