Introduction
The two creation accounts are different in Genesis 1 and 2. In the first creation account, the creation follows a chronological series of seven days in a well-organized manner. In the second creation, the narrative is mainly based on the creation of man by God. In the first creation, God separated the light from darkness on the first day and named it day and night. God created the sky on the second day and called it firmament. And on the third day separated the dry land from waters and named it earth, He also created all types of plants. All heavenly bodies such as stars, moon, and planets were created on the fourth day. In the second creation, the man was created out of the dust, and God-breathed life through his nostrils. He was then placed in a beautiful garden. All types of birds and animals were also created in the second creation account.
The Temptation and Fall of Adam and Eve in Genesis 3
God created man and woman in His image and likeness and gave them power over the physical world. All other creatures were subjected to man and woman. After God placed them in the Garden, they were prohibited from eating the tree of knowledge. The serpent beguiled Eve, and she broke God's word by eating from the tree of knowledge of evil and good, and she took it to Adam. She distorted God's command by eating the forbidden fruit. They were all punished by God. The death punishment befalls the human, and there will be suffering in the human race. This was the origin of sin.
The Teaching of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5)
Sermon on the Mount is a collection of Jesus Christ's teachings and sayings found in Matthew and mainly emphasizes on moral teachings. These were the first teachings of Jesus in His early ministry after being baptized by John the Baptist. Jesus began to preach after staying in the wilderness and had undergone temptations when he began preaching in Galilee. The Sermon on the Mount is among His longest teachings that encompass Beatitudes, Lord's prayer. When Jesus saw a large crowd following him, he went up the mountain and started teaching his disciples the beatitudes such as blessed are those are pure in heart for they shall see the kingdom of God, among others. Jesus also teaches his disciples how eternal life is narrow; only a few will enter. This sermon teaches the disciples principles and doctrines of righteousness, which would enable them to govern their lives to belong to God's kingdom, which is characterized by eventual perfection and happiness. Jesus's teachings on the mount left many people astonished.
The Three Parables of the Kingdom of God (Luke 15)
The three parables of the kingdom of God are the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost Son. Jesus narrated the parable of the lost sheep to the Pharisees where a man would go looking for lost sheep and leaves the ninety nine behind. The man rejoices when he finds the lost sheep. God likewise rejoices in kingdom when a sinner repents. The parable of lost Son defines God's kingdom, where a son asks his father for his share of wealth and leaves. He misuses all his wealth, and he is forced to return home. His father welcomes him back warmly, where he called friends and held a party to welcome him back. The same way God welcomes a sinner back to His kingdom after he or she repents. The parable of the lost coin gives a story of a woman with ten silver coins, and she loses one. The woman is supposed to light a lamp, sweep the house and go searching for the lost coin, and when she finds it, she is very happy the same way God rejoices when a sinner gets saved and is welcomed to His kingdom.
