Interruptions in the supply chain of important parts or products in the Apple company has negatively impacted the production and comprehensive operations. Most of the company's causes of vulnerability have affected the company brand, loss of clients, and a universal fall in revenue and product prices (Chowdhury & Quaddus, 2016). Over the years, Apple has been trying to point out the sources of supply chain vulnerabilities and enlarge appropriate risk management strategies (Heckmann & Nickel, 2015)

Understanding the vulnerability scoring and risk management steps can sometimes be seen as a problematic task; however, it is a good step in understanding the risk and distinguishing it from vulnerability (Kochan & Nowicki, 2018). Various methods can be used for ranking vulnerabilities to determine the associated risk; however, Apple company uses the common vulnerability Scoring system(CVSS)in its evaluation (Kochan & Nowicki, 2018)). The evaluation system is designed in a way that provides a ranking of information system vulnerabilities to provide a composite score that represents the average severity, and the risks of vulnerability present to the end-user.

Apple company evaluates different types of global supply chains to move its products and services across numerous countries worldwide (Liu & Daniels, 2011). The Apple iPhone supply works across multiple continents with its research and development in the United States, while supplies and assembling occur in (China Saenz et al., 2015)). The company works hand in hand with its manufacturers to make certain that products are largely manufactured with the best quality and give the company a hint to understand the industrial process. However, Apple needs to evaluate a global supply chain that will directly link the company to the customers without using intermediaries such as market affiliates (Waters, D. (2011). A short supply chain helps to manage risk at its early stages before it becomes uncontrollable.
