Introduction

The fourth amendment to the constitution of the United States is one of the critical factors in the Bill of Rights. The amendment prohibits unreasonable seizures and searches., to protect citizens from unlawful acts that deprive a person of privacy (Ferguson, & Henderson, 2015). The right of the citizens to enjoy their privacy in their houses, papers and any form of lawful privacy shall not violate, and this the fundamental requirement rule of this amendment. The courts the security agencies have pulled off our information when we think or expect that it would stay private. At any given time, a person may be carrying about three devices that help in tracking location, or watching overstep people make in their day to day activities. It has happened that citizens are losing the essence of the fourth amendment to the government or the public. This paper, therefore, explores issues associated with the 4th amendment and privacy.

Today the world has sufficiently evolved with the introduction of devices that people would find unsettling to enjoy privacy (Henderson & Bench-Capon, 2019). In the real sense, the amount of privacy we have is little since everything we do on the internet provides a loop Holl to lose our privacy. Privacy is what is really at stake every time we use our computers or mobile phones. Amazon is deleteriously taking privacy despite their positive intentions to improve customer expertise; the introduction of Alexa wholly violates privacy rights. Alexa collects all the information: voice records and transcripts leading to loss of privacy.

Websites collect our information that is browsing the history, location, and profile data; on clicking for cookies, we allow websites to track all the details. The outcome of this is the loss of privacy and colossal fire sale of our security concerns. In my opinion, privacy is essential for everyone. 4th amendment provides us with a right to enjoy reasonable privacy; however, we are losing it. As citizens, we must create awareness of some of the activities and devices that collect private information. It is also learning ways of encrypting to keep personal data in private. Citizens must also discourage the use of some of the devices that unveil private data. As citizens, we have a right to privacy as provided by the law. Therefore, we should let the government realize the impacts of this problem and the need to provide strict rules or banishments for people who are found violating the 4th amendment law. This can be achieved through social media platforms to mobilize people to fight this right. Also, education should be provided to citizens on how to protect privacy while browsing, for instance, the essence of deleting cookies after browsing.
