A fan zone is an area located in part far away from the main stadium where people who are unable to pay for their tickets can be able to watch the games which are live at the stadium. The people watch the match by use of a large screen located far away or outside the stadium. Other than having entertainment only and cheering the games fan zones may have bars where individuals can enjoy themselves by drinking beers as they watch the games. Also, people are enabled to take pictures of the match they are viewing. Other fan zones have eateries along with shops to merchandise. A fan zone works in the way of bringing people together at games, events and any appearances and gatherings in the community. It gives team members a chance to interact with their fans of all genders and ages from all over the world.

A fan zone enables the fans to cheer and celebrate their team members in their way and in the best way they can. According to (Gordon, 48) the match's fans in these areas are allowed to use drums, banners, flags and to cheer the game by use of an approved method by the team members. The fan zone is the place which is set aside for people to have fun, be entertained and to have a public viewing of the live happenings in the matches. The fan zone works to enhance a great vast success of the public viewing of events from all around the world. The individuals who cannot afford to buy tickets for themselves and their families are given a chance to watch the matches in the fan zone place. A recent study by (McGillivray, 2658) Shows that a fan zone can be used to perform many operations such as celebrating the birthdays of individuals to make others to feel like part of the action by allowing them to join the party session without paying for their tickets. Most sporting venues have developed fan zones where they provide entertainment for their fans. Some of the sports team meets in the fan zone before the match begins to do exercises and enable them to prepare for the main match.

A sports marketer can be able to capitalize on the connections made through fan zone since sports can be as a way of participation or a spectating activity which is associated with entertainments. (Sainam, 102). Sports marketer can do promotion activities, distribution of products and services in the fan zones to satisfy the people. According to Tsiotsou, 474, research reports that sports marketing are mostly related to the marketing of sports and entertainment and marketing through sports and entertainment. Sports marketer can be able to capitalize on fan zones by using sports as a platform to market products and services and increase the sales.

In conclusion, fan zones have played a significant role not only in the United States of America but all around the world. In cases where the space is too small, and there are more funs the fun zones are used to make every individual be part of what is happening. The fan zones have worked to assist those people without money to pay for their tickets to be able to take part in the viewing of the game by providing a large screen erected to a central place where every person can watch the game. Other than giving the people with the opportunity to attend the games the fan zones have also helped to link different people together and to enable them to interact not only with the games but various forms of events.
