Introduction
Conflicts take different forms in individuals' workplaces based on the interests, values, and needs of an individual in opposition of such perceived aspects. In my workplace, the major challenge I identified as an individual struggle for power and favor or the organizational politics in general, (Bollen, Euwema and Munduate, 2016). There have been disagreements due to increased "yes men" in the organization, they agree to whatever things said by the boss thereby getting to their positions because of catering to interests of the bosses at the workplace. This has led to increased hatred and rivalries between the staff due to increased spying and reporting done by these individuals to those in authority.
According to Saundry et al., (2016), curbing these conflicts begins by effective strategy formulations. A seldom understanding is attained only when one admits when he is wrong. The "yes man" should try to help these leaders understand that some implementations made are beyond humanity and therefore accept and work with universal solidarity. Telling the truth is also a resolving technique to these challenges because it reduces hatred and rigid boundaries build upon rivalry and jealousy. Recommendations on looking for the best interests of the organization, fostering relationship, efforts towards finding common ground and staying peaceful impacts positively on resolving the challenge of organizational politics, (Longe et al., 2015).
I attempted to implement the strategy at the workplace by first, dialoguing with those responsible for these struggles of favoritism and power gain through the creation of common ground with the affected parties. After that, I expressed the interests of the organization through, a vision mission statement to reveal to them the importance of cooperation and solidarity. The solution was quite successful since cases of this challenge have shown a reduced percentage rate as compared to the previous period.
The proposed solution becomes effective when backed up by the majority of staffs who are subjected to the same challenges. According to Bollen et al., (2016), to improve the resolution into much efficient and effective tactic, considerations on strategies of organization structure or layout, impacts of the procedure and the efforts needed in the manifestation of the process are essential.
