Hence, it is apparent in this perspective that the aim of the military component in the US grand strategy is to continue the US military superiority in the Asia-pacific region in the aftermath of the war. This aspect explains the presence of the US armed forces in the Korean Peninsula. Since then, the United States perceives the military component as an aspect that plays critical roles in Asia-Pacific regional stability besides shaping its military power across the globe.

The alignment of economic and military strategies is one of the components that shape the US economy. After World War II, the United States was keen to rebuild its economy through partnerships with its former allies and new partners. As such, the integration of this component to the US grand strategy is to ensure that the Asia Pacific is not only secure but also stable for mutual economic and political engagements. It is, therefore, apparent in this perspective that the realignment of military and economic matters was critical for the rebuilding of the US economy that had collapsed during World War II. This component maintains the US interests in the Asia-Pacific by enhancing a conducive environment that promotes economic growth.

The component regarding the rebalance of old allies and new partners have both political and economic interests. After the war, the US wanted to strengthen its defense relationships and hence sought new partners in the Asia Pacific. The objective of security and diplomatic relations component is to improve US military capabilities after the Pacific War in the late 1040s. Also, an aspect of military rebalance was to strategize on new plans with old allies and new partners as a strategy to enhance US defense mechanisms (Carter, 2018).

In conclusion, the aim of the US grand strategy in Asia was to rebuild the US economy, establish new political ties, enhance diplomatic relations and maintain military superiority in Pacific Asia. The core components are military rebalance, aligning forces with economic affairs, politico-diplomatic relationships, and collaboration with new partners and new allies.
