Introduction

Climatic change has become one of the threatening factors in the modern world as human activities diversify on a daily basis, a step that triggers the overall changes in the climatic cycle. Base on the social activities such as the burning of fossils, and ramped civilization that is characterized by the growth in industrialization, has increased the atmospheric carbon dioxide, which results in global warming. Never the less, this has increased tremendous climatic changes, not to mention the excessive carbon dioxide that raises the amount of carbon chemistry in the marine environment. The increased carbonic chemistry has threatened the aquatic family, a step that interferences with the marine ecosystem. In other words, human activities on the basis of civilization have been the leading factors toward the rapid change in the marine world.

The rise in carbon dioxide has tremendously affected the PH level in seawater which leads to ocean Acidification (AO). Due to increased industrialization, the ph level has declined with 0.1 units for the past 200 year, a step that is well connected with the era of industrialization period. Never the less, the modern industrialization is gaining momentum, with many nations striving to become independent and gain economic control of their regions. However, their industrial activities are not eco-friendly, which results in the emission of more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Through this, modern technology has led to a rapid decrease of the PH level with 0.3 to 0.4 units.

Nearly 70% of the earth's surface is made up of the marine environment, which constitutes of a diverse set of different habitats ranging from coral-reefs, tropical to deep ocean trenches. Through this, it is clear to observe the importance of the marine environment and the importance it plays in the ecosystem. The environment supports millions of creatures such as autotrophs, animals as well as heterotrophic microorganisms.

Ocean Acidification has posed a significant challenge to the cycle of the ocean, which affects the microorganisms that are responsible for nutrients provision in the marine environment. Through this, it is essential to understand the increased acidification alters the activities of the microorganism to help create a balanced environment for the entire organisms in the ocean.

On the other hand, nitrogen fixation is the optimum solution to ensure that nitrogen is available in the marine environment. Through this, the higher acidity levels caused by a shift in the ph value, are slowly resolved.

Conclusion

In the bottom line, it is essential to take a reflection of what human activities have contributed towards the global warming and climatic change as more and more social activities aimed at polluting the marine environment are adopted. It is depicted that the increased carbon dioxide, results to ocean acidification, a step that affects the microbiological organisms in the ocean. Through this, most of the microorganisms are destroyed by the harsh environment they are leaving under. The use of nitrogen fixation has helped reduce the amount of carbon dioxide concentration in the marine environment. However, despite the effects of nitrogen fixation, the rate of human pollution in regards to the emission of carbon dioxide is higher as compared to the steps considered to rectify the situation. However, it is the collective responsibility of the public to ensure that we all support the marine environment by reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
