Stampede and Trampling Occurrences

In recent years, deadly stampedes have marred sports games, live music performances, political rallies, and even religious events. When people start to move in large crowds, one get limited space around forcing them to react to shock waves that ripples back and up through the mass of people when a push comes from any direction. While in this state, any emergency might result in trampling which might turn tragic (Hall et.al 2017). Event managers should, therefore, avoid a stampede through crowd management, availing more and sizable exists and also placing strong barriers and stands to avoid crowd crushing.

As a result, some of the proactive measures that managers have been putting across involve regulatory changes to ensure the organizers of such activities provides ample security. Also, advancement in technology has been enabling management and security personnel to monitor every corner of the avenue. Some of these best practices have reduced instances of hooliganism and breach of security. Therefore, for the event managers risk management plan as an essential aspect, they ought to embrace. They should identify potential risks likely to emerge and mitigate possible solutions to avoid negative ramifications.
