In the ancient days of Greek was Odinga, who was the hero of the kingdom of Siaya. Odinga was a hero who always led his people to the war every time they were invaded by the monster Orengo. Whenever Orengo stroked the land of Siaya, it could leave severe damages that that took the people years to recover. Odinga was the son of god Jaramogi who was the god of the land and who had the supernatural powers to stop any calamity that could befall the kingdom of Siaya. However, Odinga did not have a good relationship with his father, Jaramogi, and this brought about conflict between the father and the son. Here was a case where the father was the god, and the son was the hero. When the hero and the god could not agree on issues, then it is the people who suffered.

Odinga grew up not knowing who his father was, and therefore, he did not know Jaramogi as his father. One day as he was coming from the village of Bondo to his kingdom Siaya, he met a poor older man on his way who confidently approached him, telling him he had an idea of how they could defeat the monster. Being a hero of the kingdom, Odinga did not expect that a random older man would approach him in such a manner and therefore despised him. He did not know that the poor older man was his father and, at the same time, the god.

The following day, the monster Orengo invaded Siaya kingdom, this time killing nearly half of all the animals in the Odinga's home. Odinga began to develop fears of possible bigger damages caused by the monster. Odinga has always protected the people of his kingdom in battles and whenever there have been calamities such as conflicts and drought. However, all men are prone to mistakes, and he made this one mistake of despising Jaramogi, whom he did not know his status as the god. Neither did Odinga know that Jaramogi was his father. However, Jaramogi turns out to be the bad one in this, since with the status of a hero, he did not expect Odinga to give him much of his time without coming clear on who he was.

One day Odinga, after feeling the damages done on his people by the monster, decided to consult the oracle who prophesied to him that the older man he met on his way from Bondo was his father and the god. The oracle goes ahead to tell Odinga that on his way back home, he would meet the older man again and that he should welcome him to his home and get to listen from him. The prophecy by the oracle finally comes to pass, and Odinga meets Jaramogi on his way back home. When the two meet and talk, Odinga gest to confirm that Jaramogi is his biological father and the god of the kingdom. The reunion between the two adds Odinga much wisdom and power, and the next time Orengo invades the territory of Siaya, Odinga gets to strike it within no time, defeats it, and finally kills it. The whole village finds a sigh of relief as their long-time problem is finally solved.
