Julien David Leroy made a lot of impacts of the modern-day architecture due to the studies that he carried out in the past. Unlike the restrictions that were put on other architects like Stuart, Leroy got the opportunity to study Athens due to the good relations that France had with the Ottoman Empire. For this reason, he was given the opportunity to study the city of Athens. He studied the Greek monuments in a wider manner and even based his research on the cultural aspects of the cities. This study of also the cultural aspects gave him the opportunity to come up with very solid conclusions. He later came up with a book "Ruins of Most Beautiful Ruins of Greece". His book was the first one to be published since he only carried out his research for less than one year (Limousin, Sebot, Vartanian & Drach, 2005). Being the first one to publish his book, the other architects got the opportunity to criticize his work. He was however successful due to the deep research that he carried out.

Leroy relied on a lot of practical work in his designs and his book. Unlike many architects of that time, he did not focus on theory only to help make his work be understood and accepted by many. He later used the research that he had conducted on Athens to launch a modern tradition of using colonnade in urban design (Wines, 1987). This kind of design impacted positively in the field of architecture thus making many people apply it. A majority of the modern houses and monuments being constructed in the present times still uses the ideas that Leroy came up with in the early '70s. He was able to transform architecture into a much-simplified form where people could now construct buildings without any kind of complexions. He was, therefore, to revolutionize the complexions in the field of architecture into a simple and more understandable form

James Stuart

James Stuart joined Revett and Gavin Hamilton to study the ruins in Greece. He, however, took a lot of time studying the ruins due to the disadvantages that he had. His country was not in good terms with the Ottoman Empire so the research on Athens took him three years to complete. He, however, made accurate drawings on the ruins of Athens and Salonika. His accuracy was increased with a long period of time he took in studying the place. When he came back to England, he published a book "The Antiquities of Athens". His book became famous as many people read it (Limousin, Sebot, Vartanian & Drach, 2005). His high subscription helped revolutionize the field of architecture in Europe. The only big disadvantage that he had was that not all architects got access to his book.

After going back to England, Stuart was able to continue with his projects as he became an interior designer. He was able to impact a lot in the field of architecture as he helped build Hagley Hall and the Temple of Winds (Wines, 1987). This was a great masterpiece from him. He was also able to impact on the field of architecture since he came up with the first tripod in metal. This was a great discovery which is still being used in modern day architecture. His discoveries in the field of architecture have been of great significance as it has promoted modern day architecture in Europe. Great Britain has used his ideas in the construction of monuments. Plenty of tomb monuments have been built as a result of Stuart's idea. The knowledge that he had made him get plenty of recognition in England. His architectural work has remained to be significant in the modern day.
