Introduction
In the Marine Corps, each leader has varied roles from the other. Some marines enjoy being corporal which occur due to their promotion. In most cases, promotion is associated with an increase in rank and pay. Other corporals become the tactless leaders who are highly avoided. However, a large number of these corps struggles to become a leader other soldiers may wish to follow. This kind of corps is influenced by being a good leader since they have leadership characteristics which help them to know more about their roles. As a leader, a Marine Corps is supposed to possess traits such as integrity, knowledge, courage, justice, and much more (Taylor, 2016). Like any other field, marine leaders are shaped by challenges encountered during their activities. In this case, if a person has the desire and willpower, it is much easier for them to become an efficient leader. Additionally, training and experience are an essential factor that shapes people to become good leaders. In marine, soldiers are required to know some activities why they are supposed to do to boost their ability to become leaders. In marine, leaders do not come naturally, but instead, they are acquired through hard work and studies. Work hard and studying gives them an opportunity to improve their skills and experiences. The essay reviews leadership trains based on how marine are influential, bearing, unselfishness, and loyalty.
As a marine leader, a person is required to be influential (Kirchner & Akdere, 2017). In this case, leaders are required to influence other soldiers to achieve their goals. This is an essential approach which gives a marine soldier a chance to make the group more cohesive and coherent. However, all Marine Corps must be driven by the same goal and should strive toward achieving the mission. Hence, Marine Corps are required to express their expectation to illustrate their focus on the organization. Marine is a region full of problems and challenges (Taylor, 2016). It is the responsibilities of leaders to develop approaches which help to overcome the challenges. When dealing with these challenges, leaders are required to tackle issues in a manner that do not affect other soldiers (Corps, 2016). Additionally, justice is another critical trait that marine corporal should display. In this case, a marine leader should be fair among all soldiers to avoid imbalance allocation duties. Additionally, justice makes a leader to display fair punishment to those soldiers who do obey rules. Communication is an essential approach Marine Corps are required to have when exercising justice. This allows them to share what is required to be conducted.
Bearing is an essential factor which shows how a leader conducts themselves. This action shows how leaders conduct (Taylor, 2016). In most cases, junior soldieries copy what their leaders are doing, therefore, if a leader does not have good traits, a soldier may learn bad behaviors. Furthermore, leaders are required to show a good attitude toward other soldiers when working on a mission. This influence other soldiers to strive and fight toward achieving their goal. Due to harsh conditions, it is the role of a marine leader to encourage other soldiers toward struggling until the end. Additionally, bearing helps a marine leader to conduct themselves in a professional way. This is a critical approach which helps a leader to earn respect and confidence required when dealing with others (Corps, 2016). If a leader does not have confident, followers may fail to follow orders in a mission. This action may facilitate to mission failure. A leader is required to show some endurance both mentally and physically. In this case, a marine corps is should do physical activity within the camp. For instance, a leader should show others on activities such as running boot. Furthermore, they should run for about ten miles to encourage and motivate other marine soldiers to do the same action. If a leader does not show what others are required, he may portray some form of hypocrisy. Mentally, the leader should psychologically learn and interpret what others are thinking. This action will help to ensure all soldiers effectively fit in a mission.
Unselfishness is another effective trait a marine leader should possess. In this case, a leader should be ready to offer an advantage to others before himself. This is an essential aspect that helps to create cohesion within the force. In this case, a large should show that they are ready to put themselves behind other soldiers (Kirchner & Akdere, 2017). Additionally, showing this trait helps to create a good relationship among all parties involved in a mission. During decision making, a leader may take the last chance so as to give other soldiers to express their views. Due to this action, soldiers will appreciate on all decision made (Taylor, 2016).
Loyalty and respect is another essential factor that a Marine Corps is supposed to show. In this case, they are supposed to show their loyal by maintaining and taking care of all materials and marine's needs. Normally, an approach is an essential factor in effective leadership. Therefore, for a leader to earn respect, they must show their loyal toward others and the office. For instance, a marine leader may be tactful a polite when handling others to ensure their welfare is well catered. Polite leaders create a good approach which helps junior marine to observe and maintain the way (Kirchner & Akdere, 2017). On the other hand, dictatorial leadership create a bad state which affects how junior marine participates. If a marine officer is weak at a particular level, it is the role of leader to develop an effective approach on how to help the junior to overcome the challenge (Corps, 2016). For instance, if a marine does not have the ability to swim effectively, it is the responsibility of a leader to train so as to improve their ability. Additionally, a leader should have an effective approach which will help to understand more about a marine such as personal, financial, and much more. Through this approach, a leader may develop a unit of cohesion which will work toward attaining a certain (Taylor, 2016). As such, marines will perform better when they understand that their leaders are so much concern about their personal issues.
Conclusion
In conclusion, influential, bearing, unselfishness, and loyalty are major traits which are displayed by a Marine Corps. These factors influence how marine officers participate in a mission. Marine Corps are required to form a background which other soldiers follow. Additionally, a Marine Corps should be so much concern about other soldier welfare to promote loyalty and improve their relationship. A leader is required to show some endurance both mentally and physically. In this case, a marine corps is should do physical activity within the camp. A marine leader may be tactful a polite when handling others to ensure their welfare is well catered. Polite leaders create a good approach which helps junior marine to observe and maintain the way. Based on this, I have learnt that if I want to become a good marine leader, I should focus on being influential, bearing, loyal, and unselfishness which are key aspects in leadership.
