Introduction

I apply values in most instances, which entails modified styles and methods. I have used these different values within my career, which has helped me to improve my social life and working life. I believe that by having these skills, I can approach situations ethically to realize reliable outcomes, respect for others, and create a positive environment. I have enjoyed the privilege of understanding when to work out in public or at home and how individuals appreciate the kind of efforts. In other words, values create high points in a nurse's character with colleagues, patients, and families (Kangasniemi et al., 2015). Since real richness is obtained when a nurse understands the need for helping patients with top-quality health care, values are essential to achieve professional and personal goals.

I am a caring, compassionate, and reliable nurse. I believe that an individual needs to have ethical viewpoints, confidence, and moral values to develop a caring image. My caring value has enabled me to flourish into a nurse, I am today, which has inspired my performance both professionally and personally. I believe that compassion is a good value because it helps one to reach the most vulnerable client within a health setting. Empathy is a fundamental value I cherish to have as it helps me appreciate every patient regardless of their social classes. I acknowledge that by being a reliable nurse, patients have trust and confidence in me by providing honest viewpoints about their situations. From the three values that I highly appreciate, I understand that other benefits within me can improve.

Importance

I believe that values such as compassion, reliability, and being compassion help me to reflect on my personal life. For that reason, I can depict events that inspire me, nurture my growth, feed my spirit, and understand what makes me happy (Kangasniemi et al., 2015). I know that by having a close-knit with my patients, I can learn from them, which helps me improve professionally. From my values, I can determine what is wrong and right and enable me to become responsible.

Challenges

The challenge of being a nurse is that one ought to have a sound principle, respect, and honesty to develop the capability of being successful. I have had the challenge of being aware of my attendance. In some instances, I work with other co-workers who have entirely different values that contradict mine in many aspects (Tsoukas, 2018). Thus, working with such a nurse undermines my achievement and attention I should express to my patients. I have faced problems of showing a lot of compassion to patients who cannot afford medication. Sometimes, I find it hard to cope with my work and thrive in an environment where others cannot get treatment.

Comparison

We share the same ideology of social justice with values with Baccalaureate students." In both contexts, we care for the patient regardless of their sexual orientation, disability, citizenship, age, ethnicity, race, and economic status. We both empathize with patients and the ability to translate the features into a sensitive, compassionate, and patient-centered care (Eymard et al., 2014). By being caring, we both believe in creating space where the partnership can be enhanced, and a healing relationship is achieved. Baccalaureate graduates and I believe in integrity for preserving their rights. Baccalaureate graduates and I are reliable as we both can apply, integrate, and translate the knowledge that can improve the patient's outcome. We both have the correct attitude, skills, and knowledge that can prepare me for a long-term career in every challenging environment.

The difference is based on autonomy, where Baccalaureate graduates believe in self-determine, whereas I support the collective effort. Baccalaureate graduates usually respect the patient's right whenever deciding their welfare, whereas I am moved by compassion (Eymard et al., 2014). Baccalaureate graduates believe that human dignity is realized when nurses respect the rights of their patients, whereas I understand that human dignity can be recognized based on patients' rights.

Effect

I acknowledge that it essential for a nurse to express integrity, human dignity, social justice, and altruism. I recognize that my values of being compassionate, caring, and positively impact my professional growth. Caring value enables me to develop a continued bond with patients and other colleagues. My caring amount helps me to demonstrate legal, ethical, and moral standards and conducts (Tsoukas, 2018). Besides, my values allow me to articulate issues, attitudes, skills, and knowledge of nursing professions.

My compassion values enable me to evaluate my own views and beliefs that relate to nursing practices. Ideally, by being compassionate, I get to understand the true meaning of human dignity in health care services. My values have given me a sense of pride, financial growth, and more responsibilities to accomplish more significant tasks in health care service (Eymard et al., 2014). I practice my values by maintaining eye-contact with patients, minding of my body language, thinking of oneself as vital in care, and having a proper etiquette. I believe my behaviors are determined by the first impression when talking to patient's families, caring for the patients, and understanding the reaction of the staff.
