Generally, statistics and especially applied technical statistics is an exciting subject and has a wide range of information, some of which is interesting. Several people in the world are typically afraid of statistical courses because they think that the course is tough. Moreover, most universities to don have many students pursuing statistics as compared to other classes (Newbold et al.2013). However, applied technical statistics aid many people and are involved in different fields to solve a wide range of problems. The subject is interesting for several reasons, some of which are facts that are renowned by many people, and others are attributes that are developed or generated by individual statisticians in their day to day lives. Some of these exciting aspects of applied technical statistics may include the ability and assistance to the people and businesses in solving problems. Other appealing aspects of the subjects identified while learning the course include differentiating between discrete and continuous random variables (Newbold et al.2013). These points hold more information on how one can distinguish the two throughout their life and day to day activities in their lives or businesses. As a result, the course made me have more desire to increase my knowledge of levels of measurement. Another intriguing aspect is learning to compute information and interpret it, and this is an integral aspect of statistics because after collecting data, for it to be useful, one must be able to present it and be able to understand what it means and how it can help the person in their businesses as well as other levels of life attributed to their activities (Newbold et al.2013).

Collecting statistical data is critical in any organization as an organization that is not driven by statistical evidence may risk failing. After learning how to compute, analyze, and interpret statistical information, I find it useful for application at my current position at the organization. For the benefits of the organization, collection of statistical data throughout the years, I will ensure that data collection and interpretation is done in a professional way and for the benefits of the organization. In this case, I will ensure that the firm hires a statistician who can be able to carry out the collection of data, analysis, and interpretation from which point they will be able to advise the organization accordingly. I find it essential to have a professional statistician in the firm as I have been able to learn that having updated statistical information is integral and that it is useful to have accurate statistics to help determine market forces as well as other issues that may affect the organization (Newbold et al.2013).
