Introduction

The political climate has affected the immigration issues over the past decade. The inability to enact the political reforms has left the status quo satisfying no one. As a result, there are worries in businesses not getting skilled workers as well as the laborers complaining of the job conditions and low wages. On the other hand, the farmers, as well as the higher education institutions, have become unhappy due to the difficulties arising for the political climate. The citizens have also become angry since the porous borders have given room to the unauthorized immigrants to enter their country(Franz, 2012). The immigrants are found to receive social and financial benefits including education, emergency care as well as the public assistance at the expense of the citizens of the country. As a result of the selective enforcement as well as the inequities created by the political climate today, my thoughts on immigration have changed.

Exploring the American's political climate landscape, my thoughts about immigration have been impacted with the hope for action on immigration. Despite the effect on the economy, the policymakers have played a vital role in ensuring that the strict policies such as tobacco regulation and the control over guns being addressed. Also, the tough choices on the reconciliation have given hope on the cations against immigration. On the other hand, the federal policy with the new immigration narrative as well as the innovative ideas ensures the determination that is capable of overcoming the major obstacles to the action(Domboka, 2019). The shift in immigration positions with the federations announcing their willingness to address the immigration issues, there are hopeful signs for addressing the immigration challenge on economic, social, political as well as cultural obstacles through the congressional reform.

The position leaders on the issue of immigration have also impacted my thoughts on immigration. With the immigration taking center stage in the presidential election in 2016, the president has taken strong stands on illegal immigration. The construction of the border wall has been vital in addressing immigration issues in the United States of America. However, the political elections in Germany (2017) and Italy (2018) have raised a controversy over the immigration due to the immigration stands(Gochenour& Nowrasteh, 2014). As a result, the political climate globally has affected the immigration issues which connected to the election outcomes.

The substantial inflow of immigrants to the United States significantly shaped the economy as well as the society of US. However, the political climate has revealed that the immigrants have affected the native workers' job opportunities in the labor market through their high productivity and specialization. As a result, my thoughts on immigration have changed due to the immigrants' effect on the political outcomes thus affecting the culture, social norms as well as the sense of security of the nation. Through their votes, the perceived economic and psychological costs of the labor market are impacted. The Republican party restrictive immigration policies are therefore fundamental for the growth of the country both in economic and social norms.

The immigration has become prominent in America with the rise in the political climate. The shutting down of the federal government over the treatment of immigrants, the immigration law, is said to be a broken system. As a result, there a divided reaction among the citizens with some arguing that immigrants strengthen the country. The political climate has changed my thoughts such that I have become anxious about the harmful effects of immigration on the economy and culture. Moreover, my views on how the United States should treat illegal immigrants and how the levels of immigration should be reduced have been impacted by the political climate(Kocher, 2018). As a result, I recommend that the United States should not consider prioritizing the group of refugees, economic migrants, and the skilled workers to seek entry into the country. Although many citizens do not disentangle the issues, the immigration policies allow the prioritization of the various groups of people hence influence and shift in political rhetoric and the polling language.

The issue of immigration has been found to divide America. The Republicans have been divided from the rest of the country. The migration has also isolated the nativists with the rights in the country thus tolerant of diversity(Mayda, Peri, &Steingress, 2018). The legal protection of the immigration has led to the federal government shutdown. Consequently, this political climate has led to the setting of line restrictions which favors the rising arrests and deportation of the undocumented workers, as well as other immigrants, from Latino and the black countries. The political climate in the United States of America has impacted my thoughts on the impacts of immigration. As a result, the building of the wall is the best priority for preventing the illegal immigration in the country. The tension of the Republican Party on the immigration as well as customs enforcement have led to the manifestation of the administration breakdown on the illegal immigration thus providing the corporation for resolving the immigration issue.
