Introduction
Most people in the world find it hard to do what is right which is unlike me because I believe in doing the right thing at all times, irrespective of the consequences which may be positive or negative. I believe in exercising my free will to do what is right regardless of the circumstances. My belief to always do the right thing is inspired by my moral values that push me towards avoid doing evil deeds, especially to my fellow human beings. My moral values guide me to treat all people fairly by doing what is right.
Our world is full of people who like to lie or distort the truth so that they can dupe people into doing what they want. So rampant are the lies that people tell such that they earn the term pathological liars to describe their actions. Doing what is right has molded me into a honest person when it comes to dealing with the people that I know or the ones that I interact with in various dealings. Doing the right thing at all times has influenced my brothers and sisters at home to become upright characters too.
Doing the right thing has enabled me to create lasting relationships with the people I interact with be it at home, school, or on the streets. This is because of the trust that I cultivate with others. Returning lost wallets, helping save kittens stuck on trees, and failing to involve myself in compromising situations are some of the numerous instances where doing the right thing has endeared me to the people involved. I appreciate the trustworthy image that I have created for myself due to doing the right thing without expecting any reward in return.
The other reason why I believe in doing the right thing is because of the positive reputation that I have created with people. Nurturing healthy relationships through doing what is right has made other people with whom I interact to hold me in high esteem as a person of integrity and high morals. There are parents within my neighborhood who use me as a role model in prevailing upon their children to emulate my character. This is why I will not tire from doing that which is morally right.
I believe in doing the right thing at all times because it is a positive habit that has helped me attract like-minded individuals as my friends. My circle of friends include people who we share the same beliefs and moral values that lead us to doing socially acceptable actions that are right and fair to all people. Our friendship has only strengthened our resolve to avoid any wrong-doing to the people we love and meet in our lives. It is such friends that have continued to inspire me to do what is right and help change the world one act at a time.
Conclusion
Lastly, and equally important, I believe in doing what is right because the continuous adoption of this habit in my life has not only shaped my individual character but also contributed to my personal growth. Growing morally upright with each passing action encourages me to motivate other people to grow with moral values that enable everyone to peacefully co-exist with others through good manners and upright behavior. I believe that doing what is right at all times can benefit all people and drastically transform our world into a better place.
